DO CALL 911 if the seizure lasts 5 minutes or more or if they have multiple seizures in a brief time and have trouble “coming out of it.” If you’ve read this all, THANK YOU & know I love you!

DO NOT hold them down. DO NOT put anything in their mouth. DO time the seizure, every time. Make note of the start and stop time, this is very helpful info for first responders. DO CALL 911 if they are having trouble breathing.

If you’ve never witnessed a tonic clonic seizure (aka grand mal seizure) consider yourself blessed. They are terrifying in a way that is difficult to put into words. I am including screenshots that detail what to do in the event someone around you does have a seizure.
