Dr. Akil Fletcher gave a great talk on Black representation in the gaming world to John Jay College faculty and students who were inspired by him and the possibilities of what anthropological research can uncover. Edward Snajdr and I were honored to host him.
I can not explain how grateful I am to speak at John Jay again. @ShonnaTrinch and Dr. Snajdr were two of the first people to give me a shot at research, when others were telling me to rethink grad school because I had my daughter at 19. Big thanks to the Anthr dept for having me!
@jodikantor and @megantwohey our course, Seeing Rape will be reading your work and seeing She Said this week. We would love to have you come talk @JohnJayCollege
@JohnJayLibrary We had so much fun with students and colleagues @JohnJayLibrary talking about What the Signs Say in the context of urban redeveloment thanks to the College's awesome librarians and @Katconyc
We’re proud to announce this year’s recipients of the AAA Awards. Congratulations to all the honorees for their work in advancing the field of anthropology.

Dear God but I hate it when faculty who teach at colleges with a gazillion dollar endowment lecture me about "leveraging resources."
Special shout out to the folks out here making magical stuff happen with seeds, stems, paper clips, half a bottle of sprite, and deep love.
And this happened! Immediate connection of JOY! So glad we got to tell Mariska Hargitay about our student-led theater program, @seeingrape and the wonderful work our undergraduate students do to raise awareness about sexualized assault @JohnJay College of Criminal Justice @CUNY
