It is with a heavy heart that I'm announcing the closing of UCW. It's been a fun last 10 years of my life.
The shutdown is planned for the end of March. I'll have deals posted. All sales will be final, but the prices will be great. See you all again soon! 💔
@jamesh13@bolshy44@FBallAnalysisYT That was my point. If he continued to play and do normal starlin Castro things he would have ended at or close to 3k hits. That number gives anyone a chance at the hall. I never said he'd be a lock, but when the countables are that high, he'll get eyes on him.
@BradOsoba@SleeperMets@JonHeyman First off you would have to convince harper to come to NY- he has 10/5 rights.
Secondly I think that's a gift to Philly. They would love to be free of the last $100m+ owed to him for his twilight years. I think Harper would cost a lot less than Lindor.
@S_U_Network Both great hitters. Gwynn was an excellent defender at a non premium position and Jeter was a bad defender at a premium position. They're kind of on the same level with different pros and cons.
@MetsMuse He has also recorded a hit in 5 out of the last 6 games. He's one of the only Mets hitting right now.
Yeah he's hitting .151, but it was .091 before the last 6 games for some perspective.
.151 sucks on its own, but you should look at the whole picture..
@NFLFrascella Lastly: arraez blows. He is a one tool player. He can't field. He can't run. He cant hit for power.
He's a literal singles machine which is cool, except he also can't take a walk. So his OBP is always a problem too.
@NFLFrascella Also- Moniak has never been consistently good. He broke out last year in Colorado so take that with a grain of salt. He's been a bust for pretty much his whole career. .
Also these deals have other teams taking on a ton of money. It's a tough ask.
@metrbocker@Mike_Peters_LGM I promise I only remember him because I was a massive Cedeño fan and so I naturally hated this move.
Here we are 20 years later and I still think the 51 year old is just about to turn it around. ❤️
