@miket136 When Alberta was losing pipelines and oil patch jobs and guys with 30 years experience were applying for minimum wage jobs, where were the auto, steel, and aluminum industries?
Did they take OUR side or did they tell us to "learn to code"?
Fuck them!
What is "outrageous", @SeanCarleton? A person being fired because their shirt demands evidence? The "evidence" is NOT about "child death" in graves that were once marked. It is about the fact there is no evidence for CLANDESTINE burials, specifically the #Kamloops215Deception.
We won?
* not one oil company has signed on
* not one dollar of private investment
* no route finalized
* Indian bands say they’ll sue
* Enron-style carbon payments
* tied to $30B in carbon capture taxes
Who on earth do you work for these days?
@yegwave 😂😂😂
They weren't consulted before joining Canada with their treaty.
Why?
Because their treaty was with the crown and it moves on to whoever they become "wards of"?
Edmonton Oilers forward Evander Kane posted a video on Instagram showing a man who allegedly spat on his vehicle and then told him and his friend, "You people don’t belong here."
"This cyclist was riding his bike past my vehicle and decided to spit on it as he rode by. I then confronted him as he tried to deny the claim. Luckily, a friend of mine who was driving in the area pulled over to intervene in our conversation. This gentleman then proceeded to tell my friend and me, and I quote, 'You people don't belong here.' It's incredibly disappointing that there are still people like this today."
We aren’t asking you to “prove your trauma.” You’ve accused Canadians of all manner of unspeakable crimes. If those crimes have been committed they must be investigated. If true, they must be prosecuted. If false, that is libel, which is a crime. You are not entitled to force generations of Canadians (including those not yet born) who had nothing whatsoever to do with residential schools to wear sackcloth and ashes forever while paying billions of dollars in taxes to you. You are not entitled to tell our children that they are evil oppressors. I think that you’ve blood-libelled us, and I, along with many of my compatriots who wanted nothing more than to make things right are now fed up. Do you imagine that you are the only people who sit with grief and the bones of your ancestors? You are not, I do assure you. You are not.
Turns out that it IS possible to conduct a search WITH equipment and everything.
So two women are worth the search but the alleged 215 kids aren't?
Something doesn't quite add up.
@yegwave 😂😂😂
Activists are CLOWNS.
WTAF is wrong with these people?
Dropped on their heads?
Eat lead paint when they were babies?
Mom's smoked Crack while pregnant?
One of Alberta’s 2026 referendum questions asks whether the province should restrict access to publicly funded health care, education and social services for some temporary residents.
The referendum is set for Oct. 19.
Should Alberta restrict access to these services for temporary residents?
@yegwave Yup.
Pay your own way.
Buy health insurance like when my dad's company had work in the USA or Mexico they were temporary and no way in hell would they have FREE Healthcare down there.
So, pop made sure all his guys had health insurance.
Ridiculous we pay for temps now.
🤬
Alberta’s Pacific Link pipeline is officially a project of national interest. This means the permitting process is fast tracked and we can reach our goal to get final construction permits approved by September of next year!
One million barrels a day from Alberta to the west coast, and from there to the Asia Pacific and beyond. This means greater energy sovereignty for Canada and a better price for every barrel that leaves this province.
That is more than $20 billion a year added to Canada's economy and up to 140,000 jobs in Alberta, British Columbia and across the country.
Here is what it means at your kitchen table. Stronger paycheques. Tens of billions in new revenue for the hospitals, schools and roads Albertans use every day.
Five provinces will raise their minimum wage today, while Alberta remains at $15, where it has been since October 1, 2018.
Do you think Alberta should raise its minimum wage?
