@DavidRolf10 People clearly have very strong opinions about him, and that's nothing new. But I think it's important to judge leaders by more than a single joke or soundbite. In the end, results tend to matter more than personalities.
@SCambel77482 I understand the frustration, but whether there's a deal or not won't be decided by social media arguments. If a final agreement exists, we'll see it. If it falls apart, we'll see that too. I'd rather wait for facts than assumptions.
@ThomasCFrasier ๐ Whether people loved it or hated it, everyone was talking about it. That's one thing Trump has always been good at making sure people pay attention.
@sjmerry4 Maybe it was a joke, but world leaders also understand symbolism. The United States carries a lot of influence, and whether people like Trump or not, everyone in that room knows America's role still matters.
@matteo_anello I can understand why some people don't like his style. Personally, I tend to focus more on the policies and results than on a joke or an off-the-cuff comment at a summit.
โIโm the boss.โ
President Trump walked into the first session on the final day of the G7 summit in รvian-les-Bains, France, and dropped the line as cameras were rolling.
Fellow world leaders laughed as the moment cut through a summit focused on Ukraine, Iran, trade and global security.
@KTzivah I don't think supporting America's interests and respecting an ally have to be mutually exclusive. The real question is whether this agreement makes America safer while preserving important relationships. Time will tell more than political slogans ever will.
@KTzivah If Israel has been such a loyal ally, what would you have wanted Vance to do differently? Support them unconditionally, or balance their interests with America's long-term goals?
@Andrew458373 No matter which party wins, Americans should expect accountability, transparency, and respect for the rule of law. Those principles matter more than party loyalty.
I think strength and diplomacy often work best when they go hand in hand. If this agreement truly prevents a wider war and keeps American troops out of another long conflict, that's a result most people can support. The real test starts now whether Iran follows through on its commitments and whether peace can actually hold. For everyone's sake, I hope it does. ๐บ๐ธ
