A Texas Gulf brand with real meaning. Working to bring education and awareness to the devastating effects of single use plastic to our Texas Shoreline.
Today is National Donut Day and World Environment Day. We choose to promote the latter. Please remember to dispose of litter responsibly and to reduce single-use plastics. We all deserve the best environment possible! #saynotosingleuse#packitinpackitout#leavenotrace#reduce
Bar on the Texas coast gave me a plastic cup instead of a mug. When I asked why, the answer was that’s just how it is.
That may be the biggest problem of all.
Our waterfront establishments are full of
plastic bottles, cups, straws, and lids all for convenience. Let’s do better!
Our planet deserves better. #singleuseplastics are choking our oceans, filling landfills & breaking down into microplastics that end up in our food chain. Every piece of trash we toss becomes someone else’s problem, whether it’s wildlife or future generations. #reuse#refill
Texas sun. Plastic bottles. Hours baking in the heat.
What do you think happens inside these?
Microplastics break down….and end up in you.
Not just in the Gulf. Not just in wildlife.
In your body. This isn’t convenience. This is exposure.
Think before you drink.
On Bolivar Peninsula-unreal #singleuseplastic bags, bottles and caps. This problem keeps getting ignored while getting worse. Most of the trash we collected was within 25 feet of bins. We can only do better if we stop pretending this is normal and acceptable. 42lbs/202 caps
This wasn’t a planned cleanup. No event. No volunteers. Just two people who love the coast and can’t walk past it when it’s hurting.
This is why Texas Shoreline exists.
This is why we talk about single-use plastics.
This is why the mission never turns off—even on a lunch date.
Impact is not about how loud you talk. It is about what you actually do. Anyone can post about change, but real impact comes from showing up, getting your hands dirty, and doing the work even when no one is watching. Texas Shoreline chases results, not attention. #makeadifference
Picking up one pile of trash won’t save the coastline. But it will save a bird that might have eaten it; it will keep those plastics from breaking down into our water; it will stop that exact pile from drifting back into the ocean with the next high tide. This pile matters.
Texas Shoreline Water Company has been born.
Sourced right here in Texas from Jasper’s Buck Springs Water and canned at a local Texas brewery for Texans.
So when the time comes to grab one, you’re not just choosing a Texas product. You’re helping protect our coast, our wildlife,
Oysters, coral, and seagrass all play a part in keeping the water clear, the fish alive, and the ecosystem thriving. When they’re gone, we lose a whole lot more than just seafood. It’s on us to do better. The ocean takes care of us, it’s time we return the favor.
Change doesn’t start with a crowd. It starts with one person who decides to do something — if you’ve been following along, you know this mission runs deep for us. What started as community work has grown into something more — something that’s good for us all. Coming soon….
@PlasticPollutes It’s suggested that ghost gear is the most harmful form of marine litter, causing a slow and painful death for countless animals. This includes fishing line, nets, pots and traps. #doyourpart#makeadifference#leavenotrace
A beautiful day to #makeadifference @BolivarFlats So much litter, so little time. #singleuseplastic bags, bottle caps, bottles plus everything else you can imagine. Brittle plastic breaks into hundreds of pieces leaving micro-plastics behind. #doyourpart
