“Not only did Nasdaq gut its “seasoning” requirement to allow SpaceX into its index only 15 days after its IPO, it also changed how it adjusts its weighting in the Nasdaq 100 index for “low-float” stocks.”
“SpaceX will be a very low-float stock, with only 5% of its shares available for sale, yet Nasdaq will weight the stock as if the float were 25% of total SpaceX shares.”
“Once the 180-day lock up period for insiders ends, and the SpaceX float exceeds 20%, Nasdaq will weight the stock based on 100% of the shares outstanding.” 👇🏼

Xai shareholders got 2.2 billion $SPCX shares in the merger (4x the total IPO shares). Valued now at $300b at the IPO price. Tesla shareholders must be pissed as most of that value should have resided with Tesla.....likely $100 per $TSLA share taken as a corporate opportunity.
"The one thing AI gives SpaceX, of course, is a squirrel to help fill in the value hole between "losing money on $18 billion of revenue" and $1.75 trillion. Investors in SpaceX can expect a constant stream of squirrels over the coming years."
Elon Musk needed relatively little money to build SpaceX. That's all changing massively ahead of its IPO, writes @chrismbryant (via @opinion) https://t.co/vN9VLDNlO8
@PeterDiamandis Please stop. At YE 2005 $AMZN had an enterprise value of $19B, which was 2x revenues and 30x trailing EBITDA. The market was paying almost nothing for its future businesses. SpaceX’s expected valuation is literally the opposite of that situation.
Shorting is a world filled with slippery slopes and sand castles. The sand castles are real, and vulnerable, but the slippery slopes drive men insane and ultimately prevent most from being properly positioned when the castle is washed away.
Elon Musk’s xAI has paused hiring for professionals to train its Grok chatbot on a range of specialized skills, sources say, marking a potential shift in how the artificial intelligence firm develops its technology https://t.co/rRzf9OPE1F
Watch @Tesla self-driving v14.3.3 ignore a huge ‘Do Not Enter’ sign on a freeway and then crash into a barrier at 60mph!
@ElonMusk your dangerous and defective software should be banned from public roads.
