No citizen should suffer or lose their life while proving their identity during voter verification. The human cost of the SIR process cannot be ignored. #BoycottBJP
Smt. @MamataOfficial has given the girls and students of Bengal the wings to soar, to become the best version of themselves, to achieve all they are capable of, and to realise their fullest potential.
From annual financial assistance in schools and one-time grants at the college and university levels under Kanyashree, to bicycles under Sabooj Sathi, to tablets/smartphones under Taruner Swapna, and marriage assistance upon completion of education under Rupashree, Bengal’s girls are empowered at every stage of their journey.
Our girls are our pride. They are the future of Bengal, a future illuminated by the confidence, competence, and courage of its younger generation.
On this day in 2019, India witnessed one of the darkest chapters in its recent history, when 40 brave CRPF personnel were martyred in the heinous Pulwama attack.
Their sacrifice is etched into the conscience of our nation. They were sons, husbands, fathers, ordinary Indians who wore the uniform with extraordinary courage. In a single moment of terror, families were shattered, futures were stolen and the entire country was united in grief and resolve.
Their martyrdom calls for accountability, vigilance, and a robust national strategy against the forces that threaten our sovereignty. As a nation, we owe our martyrs transparency in matters of security, unity beyond partisan divides and a commitment to protecting every life.

Valentine’s Day is a celebration of love in all its forms and manifestations, in its widest and noblest sense; love that transcends caste, creed, class and religion.
It is this spirit of love that has guided my journey in public service. A love for the people strong enough to withstand storms, patient enough to listen, and bold enough to fight for justice and dignity.
Happy Valentine's Day!
History is written by those who refuse to stay silent.
When democracy is under attack, Didi stands up for Bengal with courage and conviction.
Today’s fight is not about power, it is about the people.
Today’s fight is about protecting the sacred right to vote and defending the voice of every citizen.
Joy Bangla!

Addressing the Hon’ble Supreme Court, Smt. @mamataofficial spoke with humility and clarity, placing on record the anguish of a state whose repeated appeals have gone unanswered. She conveyed that this was not a political battle, but a constitutional appeal made when all other doors had closed.
Having written multiple times to the @ecisveep without response, she stated that her presence before the Court was driven by the belief that justice must remain accessible when institutions fail to listen.
This intervention, she emphasised, was not for party interest, but for citizens whose rights cannot be left unheard.

BIG WIN for Hon’ble Chief Minister Smt. @MamataOfficial in the Hon'ble Supreme Court.
After her plea, the Hon'ble Supreme Court issued notice to the @ECISVEEP in the SIR matter, and directed EC officials to act with sensitivity. The Court also made it clear that Micro Observers may not be required.
Inside the Supreme Court, Mamata Banerjee wore the lawyer’s coat, argued with facts, and forced accountability.
Smt. @mamataofficial told the Hon’ble Court that Electoral Registration Officers have been effectively stripped of their authority, with their powers overridden by nearly 8,300 micro-observers, many deputed from @BJP4India-ruled states. These micro-observers, she pointed out, have no statutory basis, yet are deleting voters’ names from offices without any field verification.
She further stated that Form 6 applications are not being accepted, while lakhs of voters are being removed, including instances where living citizens have been declared dead. The process, she said, is blatantly ANTI-WOMEN, disproportionately targeting women who change surnames after marriage or shift residences.
Calling out the manner in which instructions are being passed, she described the @ecisveep as a “WhatsApp Commission”, where informal messages have replaced written orders, due process and accountability.
