@plunger__boy They MISSED the playoffs entirely with Patrick Mahomes. That should warrant all the questions and criticisms that were previously shut down because the chiefs were winning and we ignored them.
@AndrewSpruill_@Bad_Bad_Golf You guys could do smarter than every other chiefs fan gimmick the last few years, but you lose the benefit of the doubt after a 6-11 season where the same fans you shit on for voicing their concerns in the offseason ended up being right about almost everything.
I don't think he'll play special teams when the season rolls around.
I also think it's an incredibly risky thing to do with your 6th overall pick by making him take on ST snaps in practice.
@BirdWatcher504@WholeLottaCelts Yeah and that's what Celtics fans need to understand. Jaylen has proven to be a really good player that also kills the team in a lot of ways and getting more pieces that fit better around Tatum might be the way to go.
@RetroGamerDad17@jordancope15 You're ignorance is a perfect example of how the Chiefs ended up here in the first place. They've clearly been on a decline since the 2023 season and you ignored the issues because mahomes dragged this team to where it is. It's called hubris.
Another thing Chiefs fans always argue is they need draft picks to extend the window, but then turn around and say "drafting at the end of every round is too hard."
It can't be both ways. the Rams' "F them picks" approach is more optimal for a team trying to win.
@Sky_Hawk_14@Kcchiefs58dt@tommythrowsTDs Currently the cap is tight but a huge reason why is because they refuse to use void years or increase cash spending. Obviously I never expect them to be the rams or eagles in that sense, but they certainly should consider being more aggressive. Less bad contracts would help, too.
@RetroGamerDad17@jordancope15 And the results were 6-11 last year with Mahomes at QB, which means we need to examine the process closer and what has led to a pathetic roster around the superstar QB who can no longer mask the deficiencies on his own.
@Kcchiefs58dt@tommythrowsTDs They still have room to take big swings they just choose not to. Rams got McDuffie, Watson, and Garrett in one offseason and are already paying Adams and Stafford.
@Denodino_@OVOTopShotta He needs a new contract and will have been on his third team before getting a second contract. Guys like that don't usually fetch first round picks. He didn't even go for that much when the cowboys traded for him.
@jordancope15@RetroGamerDad17 No it isn't. Please use your brain. The chiefs have obviously had other good players. There is a reason they didn't win anything of substance before Pat showed up. The chiefs success has blinded you from the issues created by organizational hubris and reliance on Mahomes.
@jordancope15@RetroGamerDad17 I didn't even say it was all Mahomes. A lot of teams would have won just as many if not more than the Chiefs did with Mahomes if you plug him into their roster. Having Patrick Mahomes is a luxury that most teams will never have. He has covered for a lot weaknesses.
@jordancope15@RetroGamerDad17 Not really. Chiefs fans love to spam how many championships the team won because they only ever look at results over process. The chiefs have had an inferior roster in almost every super bowl they have played in but Mahomes is the ultimate equalizer and force multiplier.
