@Nick162374@thehitcher2678@unknownmanindia@academy_dinda No, they're travelling to India and buying a tour package. The travel agency has added RR match as an experience, pretty solid one if you look at other experiences in such travel packages. Win win. Also, more % of Eng know of cricket(&Kohli) vs Aus/NZ. I work with few of both.
@FTWHarjeet No problem. Tragic but We'd rather have domestic sub par equipment. We are far behind the US, no shame admiting that, but we'll learn, as we have.
But we cannot rely on only imports - when Trump can one day stop service contracts or even operational support + prop up terror Pak!
@mgill25 Wrong. I live here too, and I have a very active social circle, but nowhere close to what you had as a community in India
Your chacha, mama, mausi, bua security net is missing.
Your padosi is nice but padosi wala apnapan nahi aega.
Social connections exist but are colder.
@ChinaSpox_India@sreemoytalukdar Did you believe the chinese side on Tianemen square? Did you believe the chinese when they came for tibet and massacred unarmed people?
Or when they sent the Uighurs to camps?
You keep believing the chinese state a lot then.
@Brosephchadsky@vrilliumlive Concept is fiction here. The word just means respect.
And yes, money and success gets you respect, like in any country.
But nobility and honesty trumps it.
That's why Mahatma Gandhi is respected, Rata tata has izzat, Ambani less so, Adani even less.
Md. Yunus and Taslima Begum jointly received the Nobel Peace Prize. That means Yunus received one half of the Nobel, and Taslima received the other half. Yet despite being only half-owner of the Nobel, Yunus alone has enjoyed the full honour of it for years. Because he won the Nobel Prize, he went on to receive many other awards as well. He never reminded anyone that he was not alone — that a woman had won the Nobel alongside him.
He erased his female co-recipient. People have completely forgotten about Taslima Begum. I have heard that Yunus had her thrown out of Grameen Bank. Keeping himself in the light, surrounded by wealth, he cast Taslima into the dark pit of poverty. Now Taslima lives like a stranger, unknown to all. No one knows that she, like Yunus, won half of the Nobel — that she is also a Nobel laureate.
When a man is misogynistic and committed to extreme patriarchy, he will always try to hide a woman’s talent in any way possible, while loudly announcing even his own meagre abilities. In this conspiracy, Yunus is truly skilled.
An Indian woman was detained at Shanghai airport for almost an entire day... for the crime of being born in a part of India that Chinese authorities have unilaterally claimed as part of China.
But sure, Japan and Taiwan are the true aggressors in the Indo-Pacific.
And the ones who don’t get it are clearly not people I would engage with anyway! I don’t even live in India so any action that Indian govt takes will be for the benefit & pride of my fellow Indians and Arunachalis living here, not mine. We are one nation we stand for one another
@AlwynS18@_svs_ I agree our politicians are bad. Are nepal, Indonesia, SA, SL better? Why do they have better roads, infra and air. Euro politicians are noble? Some are worse than Indian! Change can only be brought by leaders without junta demands by 1. Dictatorship or 2. Slow gentle nudging.
@AlwynS18@_svs_ There are manifestos out there based on what you deserve, they don't win. Take jan swaraj in Bihar.
What wins? When manifestos reflect what people shout about.
Politics is a reflection of Junta.
I live in NL, politicians are swine here too. But demands are rational!
@TimBow719@0ld_AF@Uncommonsince76 Because when the British left India's life expectancy was mid thirties while world averaged above 65. We spent 7t years fixing that, had a green revolution for grains, white (milk), yellow(oil seeds) and blue (fish). 1.4bn and food surplus, uplifted 300mn+ frok poverty. Got it?
@AlwynS18@_svs_ We are a step behind. Manifestos are based on public demands and outrage. Now junta is outraging, it'll be in manifestos, and in 10 years it'll be solved!
Yamuna was a similar issue. Only recently people have demanded serious action, and you'll see in few years all parties acting
@blackholespins@_svs_ Nothing to do with brainwashing.
Indians get what Indians vote for. You can keep shouting, but people vote for freebies, they get freebies. Mandir-done, minority appeasement - done. Reservation -, done. Now even tax breaks - done.
Ask yourself- has your area voted on pollution?
