On 25 September 1463, the Republic of Venice admitted Giovanni Castriota II, son of Skanderbeg, to the Maggior Consiglio (Great Council), the highest institution of the Venetian state.

June 14, 1454 From Naples, King Alfonso V of Aragon wrote to Skanderbeg, calling him: “Georgio Castrioti, dicto Scanderbech” (“Gjergj Kastrioti, called Skanderbeg”) and recognizing him as the “general captain” of the forces in Albania. 🇦🇱📜
