🚨 EXCLUSIVE: Chelsea reach verbal agreement with Aston Villa to sign Morgan Rogers. Bid of £117m accepted by #AVFC & being finalised. 6+1y contract, medical Monday. #AFC interested but 23yo attacker wanted #CFC; Xabi Alonso instrumental @TheAthleticFC https://t.co/81YbZw7ELc
@Statford_Bridge Send Jesse to championship, he would play a lot and wouldnt even take one out of 6 much need loan spots this summer. Simple decision for executives of any other ownership
@Statford_Bridge Think what I hate most about these Clearlake loan deals is that they have less to do with developing players and more to do with giving them exposure so they can make a quick 💰💰💰 (and that hasnt even worked either).
To be clear: Whether it is or isn’t a red to Balogun is now irrelevant. Government interference is a violation of FIFA Article 2 & 15, and the punishment is disqualification and suspension. Nepal was suspended.
This is an admission of the violation.
BlueCo’s 2023 talent acquisition strategy of the best prospects in the world is now the standard for elite clubs.
Pivoted since, because results, too many cooks/SDs, coaches and now you have a big soup of nonsense this summer.
Would have been better to stick with the 2023 plan.
Ive always believed Maresca was the one who dragged Chelsea into top 4/5 conversations, not the other way around. Shows the level of the squad once you hire a poor coach
The manager you adored saw fit to fuck off to a rival when it suited him and manufactured events to allow it to happen, let's see if you abuse him in the same way you abused home-grown academy products who wanted to stay a lot more by comparison.
And even if this deal works out, its going to be one year as a starter and, max, two years as a bench player, you want to spend ~10m in amortization costs on that?
🚨 EXCL: Sunderland reject £8m offer from Chelsea to sign Granit Xhaka. #SAFC told #CFC 33yo not for sale at any price. Stamford Bridge club felt bid fair but PL rivals viewed as unacceptable + insist no further proposals will be entertained @TheAthleticFC https://t.co/NXHnJPkzL5
It seems now Chelsea have 6 SDs and the 6th one better get it right, given that if next year is a failure, there are no hail mary cards left to pull.
Not very reassuring the 6th SD is basically doing Conte/Tuchel 2023 SD stint.
None of the names improve the ceiling of the team.
@Thfcaditya_v4 Even if you take those two points into account (although I disagree with the second one), the positives outweigh the negatives by a huge margin man. Enzo was the main reason our underlying numbers were at a top four level throughout the season.
@Thfcaditya_v4 I dont think there are many (if any) midfielders in the world who can easily get you 20 g/a in a season while still having very good passing numbers.
