Shrewsbury Town Council has partnered with Shrewsbury Dial-A-Ride to help residents reach the remembrance service. The charity will provide a free shuttle bus service for those who are elderly or have mobility challenges. @ShrewsburyTC

More Organisations sign the Armed Forces Covenant. Shrewsbury PCN, a number of GP Practices and Prestfelde School have signed the Armed Forces Covenant at an event hosted by @RAF_Shawbury. Each one of them has made a firm commitment to support the Armed Forces Community.

Shropshire Council have been nominated for the Celebrating Forces Families awards in the Public Service category. The nomination is in recognition for the outstanding work we do to support our Armed Forces Community. We will find out in January if we’ve made the shortlist.

Seven members of the Market Drayton Royal British Legion recently visited Northern France and Belgium on a Battlefield Study of The Somme and Ypres campaigns, along with a group from The Royal Irish Association. Within the group was our Armed Forces Champion Cllr Ian Nellins.
The Armed Forces Outreach team will be at the Health & Wellbeing Fair at Wem Town Hall on Fri 11th Oct. Pop in and meet the team as well as lots of other great organisations supporting the community.
