The #DownSyndromeBill is a landmark Bill. With cross-party and government support, it recognises that @UKParliament will give rights to those with #DownSyndrome, ensuring the provision of services to cater for their specific needs. @NDSPolicyGroup (1/2)
@JamesTCobbler I'm lucky enough to work for Timpson & manage our ex-offender recruitment scheme.I've seen first hand the positive effect employment has on the lives of those we employ and our business in general. Below is a link to a podcast, which explains our approach

Instead of making offenders wear high viz jackets in chain gangs, how about helping them get a real job instead? In my shops we employ lots of ex offenders and they wear a shirt and tie. Same people, different approach, a much better outcome.
Dinky Donkeys offer therapeutic donkey care at their dedicated site as part of our summer program. Find out more on our website: https://t.co/Eue9V62vYH

It’s the end of the academic year and now is the perfect time to share the results of our learner survey, which helps us to assess how our young people feel about life with us over the past 10 months.

Would you consider completing the following survey for @DimensionsUK who provide support services for people with learning disabilities and autism in the UK. They also work with cinemas across the country to host regular autism friendly cinema.

Adult social care waiting lists condemned as unacceptable by @1adass leaving people at risk of deterioration or neglect. The pandemic has been brutal impact for disabled people and without immediate reform, they will continue to experience hardship. https://t.co/So4OfkpDFm
Imagine a practice where disabled people are cold called & pressurised to accept lower benefit claims than they are legally entitled to so as to avoid a tribunal hearing. Shocked? Outraged? Yet this was happening, causing huge distress to disabled people

Congratulations learners at @Ysgolpenybryn this Dr Who film is absolutely amazing. This project, developing film skills, with @ScreenAllianceW looks so professional. Great experience for all ... the world (or the galaxy!) is your oyster!
We now have over 70 parliamentarians pledged to back dedicated recovery policies for disabled children, young people and families.
We'll be asking these champions to advocate to the government for the support that families need.
Is your MP one of them? https://t.co/mlziRDWcL8
An important initiative from @NDTicentral to find out the differences in costs & quality of life experiences between supported living & residential care for pple with learning disabilities. @chrishattoncedr @Knappem involved
@tombennett71 Easy to say reasonable adjustments will be made but what is being demanded doesn't create a culture where that will/can happen. The fastest growing cohort of kids being admitted to Teir4 beds are those with autism only in mainstream Ed. Wonder why? #capableenvironmentsnot
Children’s services are as shaky as a Jenga tower, says review lead @JoshMacAlister He doesn't pull punches saying the current system is unsustainable, fails young people & only intervenes at crisis point. Now we need specific recommendations for disabled children & families
There is really great work happening in residential schools where disabled children and young people are having sight tests. Watch video about work to help children with their eyes - https://t.co/1pfgxvmFvd
