Kayden Tafoya set a girls school 5k record at 21:25, finishing 13th overall. Ethan Rios ran his best race this season finishing 2nd for our males, close behind our top runner Alexis Ajpacaja who ran a 20:45 5k. Most athletes earned huge PRs!

All Athletes that competed in the Wolverine Invite 9/13/19 earned a season PR. Alexis Ajpacaja, Freshman Male, knocked out his previous record time, and ran a 20:10 5K. Kayden Tafoya, Sophomore Female, ran a 23:08, setting the new female 5k record for our SHS. #UKnighted

Leadville proved to be a great training course with athletes starting their first 5k of the season at an elevation above 10,000 feet. Athletes that ran today finished strong. For the majority of our team, this was the first competitive 5k race of their running careers. #UKnighted
