I was about 40 minutes into my workout when the woman using the treadmill beside me stepped off to refill her water bottle. She left her phone tucked under a towel on the console, probably thinking she’d only be gone for a minute.
Not long after, a guy walked over, looked around, lifted the towel, slipped the phone into his gym bag, and started heading toward the exit.
I honestly assumed they knew each other.
Then the woman came back.
The second she realized her phone was gone, she started searching everywhere before asking if I’d seen anything.
That’s when it clicked.
I pointed toward the guy who was already halfway across the gym.
She caught up to him and asked, “Excuse me, did you happen to pick up my phone?”
Instead of answering, he got defensive.
“Why would I take your phone? Stop accusing me.”
She explained that someone had watched him pick it up, but he kept raising his voice, calling her a liar and telling her to leave him alone.
The argument caught the attention of a trainer, who came over and asked the man if he had the phone.
“No,” he replied immediately.
“Then you won’t mind…………
@Khaledhzakariah Pandering to popular opinion will not bring about any gain. Our enemies still hate us. They will continue to attack us, and they will continue to find ludicrous ways to justify themselves regardless. Our very survival depends on us sticking unapologetically to truth and morality.
@Khaledhzakariah We do what is right. We don't care how our actions may be interpreted or manipulated by forces of evil. The Druze are our neighbours, friends and family. Saving them, and keeping ISIS militia away form our border was the right thing to do and we will do it unapologetically.
@Lilian_oliver1 Nurse Associate. The NA is a 2 year, university led apprenticeship program, with applicants being picked from existing healthcare assistant staff.
There is also an independent route available, with far easier academic entry requirements.
When this war is over, Israel will hold elections.
And the voters will be a generation of battle hardened men who have stared evil in the eye, and their young wives who single parented through the war, worrying every single moment that there would be a knock on their door.
