@jackcalifano I think a great deal of it goes hand-in-hand. You understand & appreciate good economics, human behavior, & innovation.
If you think about it, we'd see a lot more shark tanks if more people had the economic, health, & educational capacity to take risks, which socialism aims for.
@Jbaddie1 Instead, I think alarms are the best way to fix your sleep schedule. If you wake up early enough then it'll be easier to fall sleep when you need to. It's still a pain in the ass waking up to an alarm but it's more reliable.
@JulieSmithM Imo, no.
Democrats are consistently held to a higher standard and I think this level of constituent judgement repels other good people from becoming politicians.
We should keep people accountable but a few bad apples don't speak for the whole barrel. They deserve some slack.
@Jbaddie1 For most people, I estimate by October.
After you and your family (people around you) are vaccinated, you're pretty much free to return to your normal.
After enough people are vaccinated, I expect the most partying we'll ever see in our lifetimes to make up for this last year.
@Jbaddie1 Last time I visited India on a beach in Goa, there was a white girl & these group of other Indian guys were literally throwing sand at her & laughing & it was outright harassment. There's difficult people from every culture but it's embarrassing witnessing the worst of your own.
@Navy_Chick_ -Centuries of a self-centered education system
-The endless promotion of an "American Dream" while keeping the masses poor
-Lack of universal health care
Politicians+Corporations kept people unhealthy, uneducated, & poor so that they'd vote against themselves.
@SimonsSays89 As you're aiming to be positive & encouraging others, I want you to also know that people here really value you & we really wish you the best.
As for fruitful distractions, I recommend at-home exercise & changing nutrition. IMO, deep ketosis is exceptional against depression.
@ProudSocialist@AOC They're going to gaslight because they're insecure of their morals and progressives like AOC get in the way of their special interests. Just like hypocritical republicans, they've got to be voted out.
@CantgetNunn @LovesTheWords I wish it were 2024 but I'm not going to give myself hope when I don't think it will happen. Currently, I expect that Kamala Harris will be president in roughly 2025. I'm hoping that after Biden's/Harris' terms are over that we finally get to see a true progressive president.
@LovesTheWords Honestly, I think it was because nothing gave us more hope for a better collective future and planet than Bernie. He will always be the one that got away but I will rep my Bernie shirt for life. I hope someone he inspired takes the mantle in 2028.
@Jbaddie1 Post-breakups are the best time to invest in yourself anyways but once you've given yourself some time, keep your heart open to others. I find the most effective remedy of moving on is just crushing/liking someone new. Aim to have fun and eventually you'll hit someone you like.
@AlyKat_89 Honestly, most long-term (over 100 episode) animes can be filled with fillers & boring material but most anime I find excellent.
As such, if you're thinking of getting into it, first try animes that are 12-24 episodes long. They tell epic stories that can be binged in a day.
@stuchbery It was Republicans who fought to have mail-in ballots counted only at or after election day, instead of prior to the election day so obviously they would be counted afterwards & obviously more mail-ins are going to come in with COVID.
Can't wait to no longer hear "Trump" again.
@briebriejoy This election wasn't for or against the leading democrat; it was just whether people hated or loved Trump. As long as the democratic candidate wasn't as detestable as Clinton in 2016, I think that the result would have been similar.
Bernie would have hit 400 electoral votes. :D
@ProudSocialist The turnout for this election was so great that both candidates were the most voted for candidates in history. This shows that the nation is more divided and passionate about their views than ever.
Work is barely just getting started here. There's a ton of work to be done.
@AliMortell As it currently stands, Biden only has to win one of the remaining states & has a possibility to do so in all of them except Alaska. He'll likely win Nevada and that'll be the end of the election.
But yeah, considering the number of mail-ins, PA will probably be done by Friday.
@marwilliamson NV, WI, MI, NC, and GA are all 1 point games right now. Whoever wins 3 of 5 of these will win at this point.
The biggest takeaway from this is just how on earth 67 million people can vote for Trump. It leaves me dumbfounded to see how broken people are in the US.
@TheRockObama69 @aishaismad We're both speculating so both are arguments are theoretical.
But yes, I do believe it wouldn't have affected Bernie because Bernie knew how to promote his policies. Trump's arguments would have fell flat.
Bernie also proved his outreach to Latinos in NV with an insane victory.
@TheRockObama69 @aishaismad I'm sure that most progressives voted Biden but the youth & Latino vote would have been far greater for Bernie. Biden lost 15 points than Clinton on Latinos, which Bernie was excelling in, which could have shifted TX. I admit, they're difficult ones, but definitely more likely.
