@RespectElves It's like when you're playing Geoguessr.
"hmm, sun is in the north, I guess I'm in the Southern Hemisphere"
"Ah, they're driving on the left. That certainly narrows it down"
"oh, every suburban home is protected like a military base..."
"I'm in South Africa"
@EamonDelaney10@higginsdavidw Donald Clarke, film reviewer, implied it was a plot (take a guess by who). Says the whole thing looked fishy. Akin to this type of stuff. There's so much evidence of Irish people denying it happened, or worse, Jews are behind it.
What's the status of the Riad Bouchaker trial? It keeps getting kicked down the road, but at least they gave follow up dates. Now? Nothing. No dates, and zero appetite from anyone to see it to completion. Can you provide info? @griptmedia@fatima_gunning
@CathyYoung63 And Hamas has women in it. This has happened before and it fails. Islamists don't moderate like white supremacists don't moderate. Time will tell here, but we'll keep an eye on minority groups in Syria, the true reflection of how things are going.
@buffsoldier_96 unfortunately, I've been waiting to see for years about certain attacks, but never hear any conclusion from a lot. There just appears to be zero appetite from the public to find out, if the perpetrator fits a particular mould.
@buffsoldier_96 >don't have religious, political-ideological character of AQ/ISIS
Apart from the identical nature of the act itself (stabbing people in public, specific instructions in Rumiyah).
I think we're too quick to dismiss these attacks if we don't find an ISIS calling card nearby
@christianjbdev Remove the religious aspect of it and it's easy. Illegal to walk the streets with a scarf on your face? No? Then this shouldn't be banned.
Illegal for a business owner to ask someone remove a full scarf before entering a store? No. Then they can refuse entrance to woman in burqa
@fatima_gunning@rte The only untold stories are the reasons they consistently fail their applications and appeals thus resulting in them languishing in full room and board
@DavidDeutschOxf@realzoestrimpel Don't agree. It's akin to banning the Irish flag during the Troubles. Irish weren't the enemy, and Palestine as a state or people also isn't. The Islamist sect within is, but we can't tarnish all with the same brush.
