@pjryan51 @modernheroestv If in 30 years of buying cars you’ve never had a positive experience I’d maybe assess how you approach the exec. There’s been a lot of change within the industry in 30 years, but clearly not a lot of change in buyers attitudes.

@modernheroestv @pjryan51 And this is what people don’t understand. The buyer wants the car you have, but you may not want their PX. If it’s only good for the block, there’s a risk. If it’s retailable, there’s also risks with prep costs, giving a warranty, book drops and depreciation if not turned quickly

@ROBANDTHEMOB @Brexit_Refugee @AutoPap @lotuscars @InstaVolt @McDonaldsUK I know that charger well! The newish Tesla site close by is just over 50p p/kwh and worked with my BYD. BYD offer a shell discount of 24p p/kwh too which helps.

@ROBANDTHEMOB @Brexit_Refugee @AutoPap @lotuscars The odd time I charge in public doesn’t offset savings made from home charging most of the time. I agree it’s expensive (and the amount of apps/subscriptions needed to unlock discounts is a joke!) but most people would get by with purely home charging 95% of the time.

@Brexit_Refugee @ROBANDTHEMOB @AutoPap @lotuscars I’ve done just shy of 10k miles since March in my current EV, never had to queue for a charger or had an issue finding one. Drove to London yesterday, charged whilst doing what I was doing and drove back without issue. (340 mile round trip)

But back to the main question. 2 EV household here, no dramas (both sub 300-mile range) and never been caught short.

I want to watch racing with like minded people, and I’m afraid the Italians have the edge here.

Long drop toilets & dusty paths through the woods, but what an atmosphere, especially the post race track walk.

@pitnowforhards It cost two of us pretty much the same to drive to Milan for the Italian GP in the past, including fuel, food, tickets, ferries and camp sites. Booked a hotel in Milan for the night before the race.

We also saw Spa, Nurburgring and Hockenheim and passed through 7 countries.

@ListerLawrence That £131.28 would give me approx 6,750 miles of range charging overnight.

In my last 6,250ish miles I’ve only charged in public once, around £18 to get back home on a long trip.

I’ve probably saved £131.28 not buying a mars bar each time I’ve filled up in the same time.
