@UpdatesChennai@CMOTamilnadu@TVKVijayHQ It boggles my mind that after MMDA, we have not created a single planning authority for any other city in the state. And we talk about uniform development. Whatever has happened across the state is despite the state. No vision whatsoever.
@arulmuru182002@itisprashanth@UpdatesChennai New definition for luddite ๐. Air-conditioning is the (developed) worldwide norm in public transport, never heard if a theory like this.
If you can understand this single, historically inaccurate painting being displayed at a prominent place of worship in TN, congratulations, you've understood a century of Tamilnadu politics.
@TheVenks On a more serious note, there seems to be less understanding of the economic spin-offs from a white collar job vs a blue-collar factory job. The latter gets to boast of large numbers, so that also works in its favour.
But, both are equally necessary...
@TheVenks What to do, white collar jobs are only for "panakkaarans" or "elite people". Or perhaps they think it's for foreigners only (hence "white") ๐๐๐
@AdiSpeaX@ChennaiREUpdate@TVKVijayHQ Idhu namakku next level problem. At least Bangalore has platforms to free up. Chennai's platforms are practically non-existent. I say this as a person whose first choice is to walk/bus/train/metro when going someplace.
@UpdatesChennai As though we have no other issues wrt aviation. Not sure why we are so intent on shooting ourselves in the foot like this. Whatever aviation presence is in TN, it has come up despite the govt, especially the state's.
@narayananh Broken bridge.

@Elan_chezhiyan@UpdatesChennai@reclaimchennai@CMOTamilnadu@TVKVijayHQ These are all still relatively benign ๐. I almost ran into this engineering marvel in Medavakkam last week. It would have surely torn out my car's suspension. Good to see it's well preserved for months.

@cvkrishnan The last rendering shared by @UpdatesChennai shows the hwy proceeding further into the city. So hopefully it goes up to ORR, which was the original plan for the Salem expressway.
@itzRakesh_18@cmrlofficial Yes, they do, but most people don't heed it. Or pretend they haven't heard it. A poster inside the coach will always be visible.
@UpdatesChennai The half-cloverleaf - is there another drawing showing the connection to Chengalpattu, and from Kanchipuram? Looks like those two critical directions are missing and will become a problem later.
@TheVenks While you're right in terms of questioning the underlying data, some fire is needed to get our leaders to take some initiative. Consistently underwhelming leadership over decades has squandered our advantages forcing many like me to become economic migrants. I've lost patience.
@UpdatesChennai The fact that we in the 13th position itself should warn us about our economic choices. But we are content to be like the frog in slowly boiling water.
Good to see CBE slightly ahead. I always thought that was the case, but data is any day better.
@omjasvinMD Wonder what CBE folks will say to this brilliant futuristic idea

Two of the largest economic clusters of the state need dedicated connectivity for future growth. No two ways about it.
@bhatnaturally It's a form of colonialism. EU/US citizens' sleep shouldn't get impacted, ours can. It's our fault - we can pass a similar law as well. I hope we do.
Dubai does have late night flights though.
@VinojBJP@TVKVijayHQ Here's a request for you, @VinojBJP avl - could you pls ask the central govt/@MoCA_India to improve the *existing* airport in the meantime - the maintenance is terrible, toilets smelly, cab pickup is chaotic. Surely these are fixable?
@indhavaainko I was in Kumbakonam last week, it looked similar to this imagined pic. Sad state of affairs - we are unable to take care of our heritage cities with the care and respect they deserve.
