Most finance people are still trying to master Excel
The smart ones are mastering Claude in Excel
I watched every video on YouTube about it. These 10 are the ones worth your time: cleaning data, building models, creating dashboards
Adulting is realizing;
1. You will die, and most people won’t care after a while.
2. People use you until you’re no longer useful.
3. Most people secretly want you to fail.
4. One day you’ll wish you started today.
5. Most people fake happiness while dying inside.
6. No one is coming to save you.
7. You’ll be judged no matter what you do.
8. Your health is your greatest wealth.
9. Happiness is temporary—discipline is permanent.
10. Success takes longer than you think.
11. No one respects weakness, even if they sympathize.
12. Complaining changes nothing.
13. Not everyone you love will love you back.
14. Money won’t solve all your problems—but it solves most.
15. Social media lies to you every day.
16. You’re replaceable at your job.
17. Life is unfair—get used to it.
18. One day, you’ll run out of days.
19. Regret hurts more than failure.
Did you know your ₹100 in the bank isn’t sitting in a vault?
It’s lent, spent, and re-deposited within hours. One printed ₹100 turns into ₹500 across the economy. Banks decide how much.
India runs this slower than the rest of the world. 50% credit-to-GDP against a global 148%. On purpose.
The instinct was built in 1969 and never left. It’s the shield that kept India out of 2008. It’s also the ceiling.
You can’t fully have one without the other..
Godfather of AI: "If you sleep well tonight, you may not have understood this lecture."
This 47-minute lecture is the best thing I've seen about AI in the last few months.
Hinton built the neural networks behind every AI alive, then quit Google to warn us it's already ahead of us on most cognitive tasks.
Despite that, most people open Claude, type one thing, close the tab and think they're using AI, but they're using maybe 10%.
I turned his talk into 17 Claude features 99% of users never find.
Watch the lecture, then read the article below.
90% of businesses fail to execute their strategy.
So what makes the remaining 10% different?
Here’s one of the most practical frameworks for solving that:
The Strategy Pyramid
First introduced by Wendy McGuiness (2011), this model breaks successful strategy and execution into 9 critical components.
These are grouped into 3 foundational areas:
Purpose, Strategy, and Execution.
A) Purpose
i. Mission:
Clarifies the organization’s fundamental purpose by answering questions such as:
“Why does this company exist?”
“What role are we trying to fulfill?”
ii. Values:
Defines the principles that shape decisions and behavior.
Helps build a culture aligned with the company’s standards and expectations.
iii. Vision:
Describes the future the company wants to create.
Answers the question: “What are we working toward long term?”
B) Strategy
iv. Strategic Intent:
Outlines the company’s primary objectives and priorities.
Defines the outcomes the business wants to achieve and the direction to get there.
v. Drivers:
Identifies the main forces behind growth and success, including:
innovation, operational efficiency, customer experience, and expansion.
vi. Enablers:
Focuses on the systems and capabilities needed to execute effectively.
This includes talent, technology, infrastructure, and capital.
C) Execution
vii. Targets and Initiatives:
Turns strategy into concrete actions and measurable milestones.
Ensures execution stays aligned with strategic priorities.
viii. Performance Indicators:
Tracks progress through KPIs and measurable outcomes.
Helps evaluate whether the strategy is delivering results.
ix. Strategy Map:
Creates a visual overview of the strategy.
Ensures clarity, alignment, and organizational focus.
This framework helps leaders:
A) Build a structured strategy.
B) Clarify their organization’s purpose.
C) Execute consistently and effectively.
Every layer matters.
Weakness in one area can undermine the entire strategy.
Successful execution starts with clarity:
On what actually needs to be executed.
P.S. How much time are you really spending improving your strategy?

This is a photograph of Albert Einstein with an unassuming Indian man you probably haven’t heard enough about. He spent his life working on one idea: women should be able to live with dignity and make their own choices. Thread.

Underrated life advice: One of the biggest wastes of energy is trying to control how you are perceived. People will misunderstand you. They will misjudge you. They will form opinions with incomplete information. So be it. Focus on what is true, not what is said.
