Near 320+ "Red Flagged" containers have been released without any inspections by #LKA Customs dept.

Red Flag is RED ALERT. It's stamped on any consignment by the SriLanka Customs officials based on their career experiences and the past practices of importers, exporters & the country of origin, etc.

Hence, "Red Flagged" containers are mandatorily meant for scan and physical examinations.

The primary respondents are the SLCustoms and #GoSL, the government of the day!

Delighted to see what we predicted for 2024 has become a reality , hard work paid off as we started with zero tourist , v limited airlines flying in to Sri Lanka and ended 2022 with 709,000 arrivals , as predicted in 2023 target was 1.5 mil tourist and ended up with 1,489,000 arrivals , 2024 was 2 million and great achievement with all involved , kudos to the industry and Sri Lanka tourism staff , wish the new government to continue the good work as r target a realistic one for 2025 was 2.5 million all the best to everyone involved, Sri Lanka can #greateecovery #congratulations2M

The statement made by Prime Minister @Dr_HariniA is false and misleading on the state sector salary’s.

The previous Govt of @RW_SRILANKA took all the necessary steps in accordance with the procedures to approve the salary increments for the state sector employees from January 2025.

The approval of the Cabinet was granted to appoint a committee and to evaluate the state sector and the salary increments in May 2024. The Comiteee met with trade unions and stakeholders to discuss the state sector issues. The comiteee recommendations were handed over to the President and was presented to the cabinet and approved in August 2024.

In August 2024, the Cabinet granted approval to incorporate the recommendations in the 2025 Budget proposals and allocate the necessary funds.

The comiteee comprised officials from the treasury, budget department, management services and other necessary stakeholders.

I commenced the Parliament election campaign in the Matara District with the campaign coordination discussions with electorate and local council area coordinators of the Matara District and the divisional coordinators of the Devinuwara electorate.

It’s a challenging election for my self and our coalition with the results of the Presidential election, but I will be leading the Matara District coalition team contesting under the Gas cylinder symbol, to elect a strong Parliament of policy makers that supports the continuation of the economic reforms, growth and stability.
