I just wanted to share a thought. This is not to defend anyone or attack anyone. I’m just trying to look at the bigger picture.

First of all, my heart goes out to every family that lost their child and i am with their families. I can’t even imagine that pain. Every student who worked day and night for NEET deserved a fair exam, and if there was a paper leak, the people responsible should be punished without any mercy.

But after all the anger and politics, I have one question.

Do we only want someone to blame, or do we actually want to make sure this never happens again?

Yes, the government is accountable for conducting a fair examination. There is no debate on that. If there are loopholes in the system, they must be fixed. If security failed, improve it. If people leaked the paper, punish them.

But can I ask all of us something?

Did the Education Minister himself leak the paper?

No.

Some greedy people did it for money. That’s the reality. The government’s job is to make sure the system becomes so strong that these people don’t get a chance again.

Now let me ask another question.

If one exam doesn’t go well… should a child feel that life is over?

Who teaches a child that?

The Education Minister?

Or parents? Teachers? Friends? Family? Society?

We teach our children how to score marks. But are we teaching them how to deal with failure? Are we reminding them that one exam is important, but it is never bigger than life itself?

And before we point fingers at the system, let’s be honest with ourselves too.

How many of us follow every rule?

Have we never jumped a signal?

Never tried to use influence?

Never broken a rule because it was convenient?

Never looked for shortcuts?

I’m not saying this to excuse the government’s responsibility. Not at all.

I’m saying a country doesn’t become better only because the government becomes better. It becomes better when its citizens become better too.

Every time something goes wrong, we immediately ask, “Who should resign?”

Fair enough.

But are we asking enough questions about how to stop it from happening again?

How do we make exams more secure?

How do we make sure students don’t think one failure is the end of life?

How do we improve counselling in schools and coaching centres?

How do we make honesty a habit instead of just a slogan?

And one more thing.

I personally feel that governance becomes stronger when the right people are part of policymaking. Education should have more education experts. Health should have more health experts. Technology should have more technology experts. Good politics should also mean good expertise.

This isn’t about BJP, Congress, Jana Sena, or any other party.

Tomorrow, whichever party is in power should be held to the same standard.

But as citizens, let’s ask ourselves one simple question.

How much am I contributing to making this country better?

100%?

80%?

50%?

Or am I expecting perfection only from the system while making compromises myself?

Demand accountability from governments. Absolutely.

Punish the guilty. Absolutely.

Strengthen the system. Absolutely.

But let’s also build stronger families, stronger values, and stronger citizens.

Because at the end of the day, a nation is not built only by the people who govern it.
It is built by every single person who lives in it.

One last thing. If this fight is for students, let it stay with the students. Don’t let political parties hijack their pain. The moment politics takes over, the issue stops being about students and starts becoming about votes. Student voices deserve to be heard without political filters. If the goal is justice, keep the focus on justice….not political gains. Only then will this movement have the moral strength to bring real change.
