How could naturally skeptical journalists like @mrjamesob & @krishgm be taken in by Jason Arday?

They were mesmerised by the tale of a black boy who had overcome adversity

It’s the virtue-signalling equivalent of train spotters who get excited seeing the Flying Scotsman

For journalists like James O’Brien & Krishnan Guru-Murthy -- and woke academics in Cambridge and up and down the country -- Arday was their Flying Scotsman.

Arday ticked every box:

race ✔️
poverty ✔️
neurodivergent ✔️
illiterate ✔️
unorthodox childhood ✔️

He was the virtue signaller’s poster boy. The identity politics bingo card in human form.

To see seasoned journalists, trained to detect the faintest whiff of BS, uncritically accept the bold boasts of their interviewee reveals the devastating, mind-addling effect of ideological capture - dare I say, brainwashing.

Of course, people like James O’Brien have form here.

Remember, O’Brien was a great champion of the convicted paedophile Carl Beech, the vile fantasist who claimed various upstanding public figures were involved in unspeakable crimes.

O’Brien’s personal biases clearly cloud his judgement.

O'Brien's hubris prevents him from ever acknowledging his errors. And so, even though others who have previously defended Arday have quietly removed their support (most recently the black president of Wolfson College) O'Brien remains chained to the foundering HMS Jason.

What these people - and the rest of the woke establishment - don't realise, is that they are being unforgivably racist.

Any white professor facing similar accusations to Arday would have been pilloried and investigated long ago. Cambridge normally has a zero tolerance attitude towards plagiarism - yet it refuses to re-examine this professor's credentials.

Arday’s race is the reason the progressive left have become his Praetorian Guard.

They are holding Arday to a lower standard because he is black. Surely that is, by definition, racist.

Lammy, clearly squirming:

“I think… no. Because, look, I don’t think the family are asking for symbolism. They’re asking for genuine common sense policing and a reduction in knife crime.”

Ferrari pounces:

“So you agree, taking the knee is mere symbolism? It was a bit of a charade at times?”

Lammy’s brain completely melts:

“That was a moment back then when we were still in the pandemic. This is today. This is this particular incident in our country that’s heart-rending.”

The pandemic?! What the actual f*ck has COVID got to do with it? 😂 His head had totally gone. Nick Ferrari absolutely broke him on air.

This is the same David Lammy who was one of the biggest cheerleaders for BLM, repeatedly defended taking the knee, slammed anyone who questioned it, and pushed the George Floyd narrative hard, yet suddenly it’s all “symbolism” and excuses when it’s a young British lad stabbed to death.

Well done, Nick Ferrari 👏 You exposed the hypocrisy and double standards for everyone to see. No wonder people are furious.

Blair has just shredded mad Miliband and the entire net zero agenda. There’s zero logic to it!

Asked directly for total clarity: “For total clarity, are you advising Keir Starmer to rip up Ed Milibands green energy targets?”

Blair bluntly replied: “Yes I am!”

He explained that the 3 biggest emitters in the world today are China, America and India. Together they “account for just over 50% of global emissions.”

All are pursuing cheap energy. They still do renewable energy. “China for example builds more renewable energy than the rest of the world put together.” “It just means that the lens from which they judge policy is cheap energy.”

He rightly points out Britain’s emissions are “under 1% of global emissions” so we can’t solve climate change.

And says he “doesnt understand the logic behind” imposing costs on businesses and consumers to pursue net zero when the rest of the world is not doing so.

He says again he doesnt understand why we’re shutting down North Sea oil and gas industry in circumstances where no other country in the world is doing that if “they’ve still got a requirement to import energy from oil and gas”.

It costs way too much and “is not the right priority!”

Net zero is not saving the planet. It is economic self-harm. Blair has just blown the entire agenda apart.

🚨BBC’s Nick Robinson Grills Green Leader Zack Polanski Over Claim That “Palestine Is On The Ballot” In Tomorrow’s UK Local Elections

In a tough BBC Radio 4 Today interview, Robinson pressed him hard: “What does it mean ‘Palestine is on the ballot’?” After Green candidates called it a crucial factor in tomorrow’s local elections.

Robinson rightly pointed out the obvious: local elections should be about bins, schools, hospitals, roads, the things councils actually control.

Polanski’s ridiculous response? He claimed what’s happening in Gaza holds equal weight with voters as fixing potholes and emptying the bins.

Local elections have ZERO to do with Israel/Palestine. Councils can’t influence Gaza in any way, shape or form.
