Delighted that @KenyaRedCross through @iome254 established a partnership to set up a small plant for recycling of plastics as part of our youth innovation programs.
I had the honor of accompanying my Cabinet Secretary, Hon. Salim Mvurya, to a briefing session with H.E. President @WilliamsRuto ahead of the International Youth Day celebrations at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology tomorrow, the 12th. I’m excited to be part of this momentous occasion as we celebrate the power, potential, and creativity of our youth. See you there!
Over 63,000 people in Makueni and Tana River counties will benefit from the newly launched Climate & Health Resilience Fund, a partnership between Prudential Kenya and the Kenya Red Cross Society.
The initiative was officially launched by Gwen Kinisu, CEO & Managing Director of Prudential Kenya and Joe Mbalu, Deputy Secretary General – Programmes, KRCS in Tana River County.
Focused on improving health outcomes for women and children, the one-year initiative will roll out community-based solutions including water purification systems, school kitchen gardens, first aid training and climate-health education.
Earlier today with colleague PS Madam Susan Mangeni of the MSME and the members of the steering committee of the National Youth Opportunities Towards Advancement (NYOTA).
We are planning to make the program a life changing and extremely effective to the young people of Kenya in the three areas of coverage, Business Support, On-Job Experience and Recognition for Prior learning.
We shall undertake an elaborate communication to our youth on these areas.

Nairobi – 823 households & 339 children in homes. Garissa – 640 households. Bungoma – 500 households. Kitui – 500 food packs & 500 Iftar hot meals. Isiolo – 700 food packs & 500 Iftar hot meals.

They received essential seeds—maize, green grams, sorghum and millet—along with training on improved farming practices.
