How to Increase AIV (Share of AI Visibility) for Artists at Fashion Week
1. Give the artist a clear and consistent brand connection
- Whenever the artist attends a brand's event, news coverage should consistently pair the artist's name with the brand's name in the same way each time (correct spelling, consistent use of full name) so AI can make the connection easily.
2. Push for as much third-party (earned) media coverage as possible
- AI tends to pull information from news outlets and analytical articles more than from fan social media posts.
- Tier 1 fashion media or credible entertainment outlets carry more weight than general blogs.
3. Create moments with a tangible "story"
- For example: an outfit with special meaning, a first-time collaboration with the brand, a reaction that goes viral.
- AI tends to pick up content with a clear angle rather than news that just says "attended this event."
4. Let fans help spread the word, but prioritize quality over quantity
- Analytical/summary posts with clear information (who attended which event, which brand, what date) are more useful than purely emotional posts.
- Encourage fans to post in forums with in-depth discussion (Reddit, Pantip), since AI tends to reference conversations with substantial content.
5. Time it well during Fashion Week
- Since AIV is calculated from category-level questions during that period (e.g., "who attended Paris Fashion Week?"), the faster and more complete the news, the more likely it is to be referenced over competitors.
6. Compare against MIV Rank to check for an "AIV Breakout"
- If an artist has high MIV (media value) but low AIV, the focus may need to shift toward making content more AI-legible, not just increasing media volume.
