The absence of a response on 5-day banking is discouraging; let’s push for immediate action from the Government. #5DayBankingNow#AIBOC@PMOIndia https://t.co/DD5ve4WAMe
Bankers keep India connected 24×7.
But behind every transaction, target and deadline is a human being, with a family, responsibilities and a life beyond the branch.
A 5-day week was agreed in March 2024, with bankers accepting longer working hours from Monday to Friday.
The demand is reasonable. The commitment is proven. The delay is difficult to justify.
Implement 5-Day Banking now.

Every 24x7 banking service has a banker behind it and a family waiting at home. We agreed to the 5-day week in March 2024 and accepted longer weekday hours. The regulator, the insurer and the Government all work 5 days.
Our demand is just. The delay is not.

@aiboc_in When agreements like the 5-day week remain pending for years, it undermines the trust of bank employees in their leadership. #5DayBankingNow#AIBOC@PMOIndia

Dear Comrades,
Today, every striking banker sacrifices a day’s salary for a commitment that remains unfulfilled — Five-Day Banking.
Your sacrifice, courage and unity will not be forgotten. History will remember those who stood up, fought together and refused to surrender their rightful demand.
This fight is for our dignity, our families and the future of every banker.
Stand Firm. Stand United. Make the Strike Historic.
✊ One Cause. One Voice. One Banking Fraternity.

FOMO - fear of missing out is shielded by the Fear of being embarrassed. UFBU always wins and the Govt. has relented again. Victory is ours comrade , strike ahead march on. @FinMinIndia@DFS_India
The enforcement of differentiated PLI creates discord among bank staff instead of motivating collective performance expectations. #5DayWeekandFairPLI#AIBOC@PMOIndia https://t.co/0im62H7U7R
India’s Bank employees seek two things rooted in fairness and dignity at work.
#5DayWeekandFairPLI
The demand for a 5 Day Work Week in banks is not new. It already stands agreed upon in the Bipartite Settlement of March 2024. What remains is its long-pending implementation.
At the same time, the unilateral and discriminatory PLI system must be abolished and replaced with a fair, transparent and inclusive framework for all employees, recognising the collective effort behind every institution’s performance.
Hardworking bank employees are not asking for privilege. They are asking for implementation of an agreement and equality in reward.
A motivated banking workforce strengthens Indian banking and the nation.
