A #prayer for start of the new Connexional Year 🙏

Loving God, as the days and weeks of summer tick by, we find ourselves on the cusp of another new beginning, another new chapter, another opportunity to start afresh with you.

Thoughts of the next chapter will fill some of us with excitement and anticipation, whilst for others there may be ongoing anxiety about facing the same challenges and concern about what might be.

Remind all of us that we can step into this next season of life, whatever that looks like for us, knowing that you step into it with us, longing for us to catch a glimpse of your light even in the darkness. Help us to believe that whatever experiences come our way, you have hidden treasure for us to discover as we journey on with you.

Today is the feast day of St Aidan who was a Celtic monk. He travelled from Iona and brought Christianity to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne where he set up his monastery and spread Christianity across Britain.

This weekend I’ve been at the annual gathering of the @CAandHUK. It’s been an amazing weekend of teaching, worship & fellowship. I have really felt the presence of the Holy Spirit moving amongst us this weekend & I’m excited to see what the Divine has planned for the community.
