A big good luck to all children out there taking their SATs exams this week. Exams can be a little overwhelming but remember you've got this!! Your fabulous teachers have worked so hard to prepare you and you've been learning hard all year- you'll be great! #befearless#goodluck
SupportDogs, a charity which supports children & adults affected by autism, epilepsy or disability, is holding a drop-in session @Walkley Library on 30/05.
Who wants to spread some puppy love?
There's a little shout out to the amazing @sparklesheff in this article too! We were very lucky at Explore Hlllsborough to be trained by them to support our members with #autism - their training was truly insightful and extremely helpful! #training#skills#sensupport#sheffield https://t.co/Hj3D6kvv6y
So proud of our lovely member Sam! His support dog has truly changed his life and we've been able to witness the impact of Willow on Sam's ongoing journey. She's a true #superhero and Sam is a very special young man! https://t.co/eDgJqYMVHr

Sam is 6 years old and has #autism. Sam’s mum, Emma, has tried many different methods to support him and shares her journey with us here: https://t.co/hWL4BmdmAq
Great example of effective coaching method: I do, we do, you do. We do this at Explore Learning with our children and when coaching each other! @exploretutors@Explore_Careers https://t.co/e3Ro2eJr76
1. Top Tip from HfL's KS2 reading Fluency Project:
How about trying a 15 minute whole class fluency activity every day for the next week to prepare children for the SATs.
Choose a challenging text. Select a short passage each day (100 words-ish).
I remember some of my teachers who really seemed to enjoy being with us. They genuinely liked their students. I also remember some teachers who just seemed to be “putting up” with us. They were just waiting on the bell to ring like us. Both types of teachers made an impact.
I've had lots of parents meetings this month where we've discussed supporting children achieve their potential beyond their SATs and other exams. It's fantastic to hear so many positive outlooks! Learning is a never-ending process and not a means to an end. #educhat#teaching
My Daughter doing her presentation for the Brownies this evening.. Imagine all those children will look at autism in a completely different way thanks to her.. And this is an idea she came up with all by herself! SO PROUD OF HER!
The platform we have on Twitter is not nearly as important as the platform we will have at work tomorrow. The school building is where it really counts.
Yesterday I spent time reading our National Young Writer's Award entries for the North Sheffield area and they were incredible! We have had entries from so many schools and such a variety of ages too! I'm sure @davidwalliams can't wait to pick a winning story! @exploretutors
This is true for EVERYONE not just students. If you can find common ground with your staff, find how they want to be developed and what their goals are, you are much more likely to see them (and support them to) excel! https://t.co/gSJJnMR1G3
Teachers that take Students to Higher Ground, have first found Common Ground. You can't take Kids Higher until you've taken the time to meet them where they are! #edchat#education
Staff development is key to success in education. We're all learners after all! At @exploretutors we strive to consistently develop our staff. We're also looking to recruit new tutors in #Hillsborough - fancy a part time job inspiring and educating children? @Explore_Careers https://t.co/gfnIUveMH9
Huge increase! We support lots of children at our centre who are home-educated in Sheffield. Ultimately it's about finding what's best for the child! #educhat#homeschool

A big thank you and well done to everyone at @ParsonCEprimary for having me in the school running maths workshops this week. I worked with Y1 & 2 and Y4 & 5 and you were all fantastic!! We'll be in again next week to work with Y3 and Y6 too! @exploretutors
Make sure you take time each day for some #selflove. After all, if you want to inspire others you have inspire yourself first! #educhat https://t.co/tvMc8ZXVcD
What does it mean to be a #fearless learner? To me, it's not giving up after the first attempt. Persevering through difficulty and seeking help when you need it! If we look at learning this way, we can overcome everything and anything! @exploretutors#educhat#fridaythoughts https://t.co/3bHrEHeUZ1
Fear, he is a liar
He will take your breath
Stop you in your steps
Fear he is a liar
He will rob your rest
Steal your happiness
Cast your fear in the fire
'Cause fear he is a liar
