EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen is set to speak. She enters a nearly empty plenary chamber. A telling scene, preceding a debate on pivotal issues in European policy.

The EU isn’t even in charge of itself anymore.

In the Chinese sexagenary cycle, the Fire Horse (丙午, Bǐngwǔ) year occurs only once every 60 years. 2026 is such a year. Here are the previous 60 year Fire Horse cycles-

1966 (60 years ago): Florence Flood (Italy): The River Arno flooded on November 4, killing 35 people and destroying millions of rare books and masterpieces. Aberfan Disaster (Wales): On October 21, a colliery spoil tip collapsed after heavy rain, engulfing a junior school and killing 144 people, including 116 children. 63 confirmed eruptions occurred globally throughout the year from 60 different volcanoes.

1906 (120 years ago): Great San Francisco Earthquake, magnitude 7.9 quake struck on April 18, triggering fires that lasted three days. Over 3,000 people died, and 80% of the city was destroyed. Mount Vesuvius Eruption (Italy) in April caused widespread destruction in the Naples region. NOTE: In 2026, a major astrological alignment occurs: the Saturn-Neptune conjunction on February 20, happening every 36 years, including THIS year of 1906.

1846 (180 years ago): Great Havana Hurricane: The first known Category 5 hurricane to hit Cuba, causing hundreds of deaths and massive destruction before striking Florida and the U.S. East Coast.

1786 (240 years ago): Sichuan Earthquake (China), massive earthquake in Kangding led to a landslide that dammed the Dadu River; its subsequent breach killed an estimated 100,000 people.

1726 (300 years ago), Palermo Earthquake (Sicily): A destructive earthquake hit Palermo in September, causing significant loss of life and property.

1666 (360 years ago): Great Fire of London, catastrophic fire destroyed over 13,000 homes and 87 churches.

Soon we will be going on a deep excursion into what 2026 looks like by merging calendrics, the 36 year Saturn-Neptune cycles and the 60 year Fire Horse cycles and compare these three merged timelines with what the isometric projections for 2026 look like.
