💡Introducing Eido - a better code tutorial platform
Imagine tutorials where you get the clarity and detail of video, but with the accessibility and pacing of text.
I've built a beta version of the app - DM for access!

@hudzah@_buildspace@_nightsweekends we probably have more garden space than our house lol, perks of being in india. we did try growing stuff inside but didn't really get far
@glenp01@_buildspace@_nightsweekends that's the point of a toy!
i've always wondered how this kinda app works. is it just a Q/A chat thing? or more of a forum style thing? what do you have in mind?
@Hunter_PDX@_buildspace@_nightsweekends i love how you didn't overengineer the landing page lol. i'd probably spend two. whole. days. on it and never use it
@Prateek62632556@_buildspace@_nightsweekends i think the subtitle summarizes that well
text tutorials are text articles, kinda boring, involve a lot of back-and-forth scrolling, and not always clear on how the code fits together
one the other hand, video shows what code goes where, logically, and you get to see output too
@vlatoshi@_buildspace@_nightsweekends ye true, i should've thought all this true. thanks!
to answer this:
- better: i have no idea how to phrase this well, but subtitle sorta summarizes this
- fun/interactive: makes learning easier
- a11y: downside of video tuts is not being able to run/copy/play with the code
@PiticVic@_buildspace i dunno, maybe the board game could be a web thing and stats from that can be used to find a recruit? or does that ruin the whole premise of a board game? idk lol, sounds fun tho i'd love to see this happen
