Congratulations to @RCBTweets on their first-ever IPL title. Fitting that jersey no. 18 lifts the trophy in the 18th edition.
Well played and well deserved! 🏆 👏🏽
Well played to @PunjabKingsIPL as well for a well-fought season.
@jyotir05aditya@Gabbar0099 You think she has an agenda? B all she is saying is to think rationally and factually.
She asking to not get carried away this achievement.
It's actually people like you who are holding back India.
Here are some facts that you should know about GDP:-
1) GDP is value of total goods + services that are produced in the world.
2) If there are more people (i.e more population), GDP should go high
3) GDP per capita indicates: the average economic output per person in a country
4) Scandinavian countries therefore have very small GDP. But, very high GDP/capita
5) In India: this is the opposite. We have very high GDP, but very less GDP/capita
6) So is "GDP" as an absolute number useless? No. Everything matters in life. So does GDP
7) In absolute terms: we are the 4th largest economy. When businesses look for markets to expand, they would always look at India as an option.
Why? because our market is huge.
It might have issues like: high cost of capital, low profit margins etc. But, you can't ignore India as a market.
8) VC/PE Funds always look at something called "TAM" (total addressable market). And, India is one of the biggest markets on that basis.
9) Does this mean we are a developed country now? Not at all, far from it.
10) A developed country has many indicators like GDP, GDP Per capita, human development Index, income distributions etc.
We generally rank low on an aggregate basis.
11) Another key point to keep in mind is called as Gini Coefficient. More Gini means= more inequality.
Here we are ranked with: Germany (32.4%), the UK (32.4%), and France (31.5%), and lower than China (35.7%) and Indonesia (36.1%)
Is this good? maybe.
Because Pakistan has a Gini of 29.X%, which is lower than in India. The only logical explanation for this is: that incomes there are so bad-- that most people are at same levels.
So even data set in isolation is useless.
12) What all these GDP debate ignores is a simple point: the trajectory of a nation. And, this is what impacts you the most as a citizen.
UK for ex: had been struggling post 2008. A series of mis-steps like BREXT in 2016, unstable governments, immigration issues, high tax etc. took 17-18 years to culminate into a full blown crisis.
So study the first 11 points. Understand the trajectory of your nation. And, make your own career/investment/life calls.
Most importantly: stop reading just the headlines. Go 3 level deeper, where insights hide.
Power cuts in the city without any notice, and now constant voltage fluctuations too? Isn’t that a serious risk to our electrical appliances? This is supposed to be a smart city—feels more like a step backwards. Is this really urban area?
#NotSoSmartCity 😠
#Indore@MPEBIndore
@MPEBIndore The issue is very concerning, power fluctuations have still not stopped, we have had to turn of all our electrical appliances, in such hot weather, and during NIGHT.
Sending your more details in DM.
Hi, Indore
I'm not able to understand that why the power cuts off on daily basis in the MR.10 area, It is very uncomfortable to night shift workers like me so please look into this matter.
Thank you
@IndoreCollector@MPEBIndore

@MPEBIndore
@NalinisKitchen This is an issue I have faced in the past!!
The service providers have have knowingly done this! First I think it was airtel and then the rest followed.
It is ridiculous! And good thing you called this BS out.
@vishalmathur85@NalinisKitchen But the point here is if you want to send just a single message why would you need to do recharge ₹199! That is ridiculous no?
Earlier there used to smaller packs of ₹15 something that would do the work.
