In the case of Suryavanshi, what he does is at par with with the skills required in the toughest conditions in Test cricket, because of how consistently he keeps hitting sixes off any bowler.
But in general, I don't think there is a comparison because there is a big percentage of hits today that are not from the middle of the bat in T20 cricket, and the boundaries are not as big. So I don't think we can compare the skill needed to face the moving ball in five days of grueling cricket to what players in the IPL do.
