आप कितनी भी बड़ी तोप क्यों न हों, लोग सवाल तो पूछेंगे!
Chief justice of India Suryakant was in London.
This is what happened yesterday at Birkbeck University of London.
Not at all surprised by the reports of people hoarding cylinders and companies increasing prices of inductions.
What concerns me is the inability of the 56 inch government to regulate this all. But again, not surprised by that either.
Elect a clown. Expect a circus.
It baffles me every time to think that we haven’t heard the PM of world’s largest democracy speak spontaneously ever since he took the office.
NOT EVEN ONCE IN 12 YEARS.
Everything is scripted. Every speech. Every conversation.
All these climate think tanks centred in Delhi but how many amongst those have really ‘demanded’ any action from gov. or rather held it ‘accountable’
All they do is ‘recommend’
Makes me wonder about the vulnerability of our policy system.

#WATCH | Delhi | On the ban on education for women in his country, Afghanistan Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi says, "There is no doubt that Aghanistan has relations with Ulema Madaris and with Deoband perhaps greater than others. With regards to education, at present we have 10 million students attending schools and other educational institutes, of which, 2.8 million are women and girls. In religious seminaries, this educational opportunity is available all the way to the graduation level. There are certain limitations in specific parts, but that does not mean that we oppose education. We have not declared it religiously 'haram', but it has been postponed until the second order..."
Best cricket viewing experience I’ve ever had. Neutral venue, packed stadium, top notch facilities, match commentary earpiece, scoresheets, free water, food, museum entry
I really wonder what stops BCCI from giving this kind of experience to its viewers despite all the money.
BJP’s politics in last decade is a masterclass in Agenda Setting in Policy and Politics which would put even best of Social Science universities to shame.

And from whatever I understand of the world, tourism in Kashmir would be dead for few more years now leaving many hungry and causing unrest, which was the ultimate aim of this attack
This is no time for communalism, this is the time for solidarity. For Justice and Accountability.
From whatever little I understand of geopolitics, this attack appears to be a calculated attempt to destabilize India, particularly Kashmir by driving tourists away and sowing unrest.
Thread 🧵
From whatever little I know about how political consultancies work, the ruling party in India will exhaust all its resources to spin this into a communal narrative, hoping for electoral gains
From whatever little I know of Indian citizenry and our media, I fear we will question everyone but the state and intelligence whose failure lies at the core of this tragedy.
“They have divided observers and commentators into two broad camps: those who are convinced the man is impulsive and geopolitically illiterate, and that most of his actions cannot be understood rationally, versus those who believe there is a method to his madness”
It absolutely makes no sense to exclude eggs from mid-day meals. While the world is moving ahead to evidence-based policies, we are still stuck in brahminical mindset (yes, everything is political) while making our policies.
This is just criminal on the part of state governments
I was reading the news about the exclusion of eggs from Mid-day meals here, and that made me curious to check what other countries are feeding their coming generations.
Thread.
(if you think or even a slight belief that kids don;t need protein, stop reading this thread right away and switch to watching reels)
I started with the USA; in their guidelines, they mention that the kids will be getting 9-10 OZ of meat or a meat alternative in their diet per day per week.
9-10 oz is around 30g of meat and a daily cup of milk. (the notable protein sources)

Does it sound dystopian to you that some people shouts ‘Hindu Rashtra ki Jai’ on Republic Day in the Indian High Commission premises in front of IFS officers and no one bats an eye.
This happened at London today.
The Republic deserves better from us.

Guha, Sen, Arundhati Roy, Romila Thapar. Their literature represents India on the global stage but ironically they are vilified in their home country by the state machinery.
Tells about the times we live in.
