More Than a Match ๐
Phillipsburg junior Brady Russom showed incredible toughness and determination this week, qualifying for the KSHSAA State Tennis Tournament while currently undergoing chemotherapy treatments after being diagnosed with Hodgkinโs Lymphoma in March.
Between treatments, Russom battled through a grueling day at the Smoky Valley Regional, playing 4 matches, 10 sets, and 88 total games to earn a 5th-place finish and punch his ticket to state.
Sometimes the biggest wins in sports go far beyond stats and records. What Brady accomplished this week is a tremendous example of perseverance, heart, and Kansas grit.
Best of luck to Brady at the state tournament as the Panthers, and an entire community, continue to rally behind him. #sportsinkansas
