I just don't know how not to be disheartened. You'd think Anwar and co would attempt to find some reconciliatory middle ground but NOPE.
It's not just pandering but MEGA PANDERING to the religious bloc and making them the priority instead of the nation as a whole.
When you pander to the demands of the extremists, you are giving them an incentive them to demand even more and more in the future - and one day, you will end up with a situation where the demand has gotten so ridiculous, but you no longer have the power to say no anymore.
