@brakeboosted The soft tyre pattern and the brake issues seem correlated? Using the brakes to generate heat or Lec uncomfortable with precision braking in this era? His words and interview make it sound so bleak when he’s clearly on the pace and with clean laps should take pole
@BreathBlade@brakeboosted I agree, and I’m guessing it gives him a balance to protect his tyres in the race. But that’s of no use if you start P6 or wherever after Quali.
Hope he proves me wrong, but I don’t think sacrificing Quali for a better race balance is smart on tracks like this.
@brakeboosted Apart from some top speed which is irrelevant here why run a medium DF spec? For tyre management, managing any possible rain and qualifying the highest DF spec should be the one right? Feels like they both converge and one always ends up unhappy from these experiments
@vandansavage@Danelerc How much is Charles losing to Lewis in S1? If he can stay within a tenth he will have him over the lap. He can’t afford to qualify behind at any cost because it will bring on the inevitable race time loss by the time Charles gets through Lewis and potentially cost a win
@brakeboosted if this car stays mid and Ferrari as per “rumours” falls behind in the 2026 engine, do you think CL should move? Given Piastry and Antonelli it doesn’t look like CL will have the bargaining power we would expect and could end end up with options like Sainz had
