I’m starting to realize that some of my biggest triggers aren’t memories. Sometimes it’s situations. Being ignored. Feeling trapped. Someone suddenly changing their tone with me. Being financially dependent on someone. Having no way to leave. My body doesn’t care if the trauma happened five years ago or five months ago. It just recognizes the feeling of being unsafe.

정서적 자해라는 게 있는데
- 일부러 자신을 상처 입힐 만한 말이나 기억을 계속 되새기기
- 다른 사람과 끊임없이 비교해서 일부러 자신의 부족함을 확인하기
-자신에게 좋은 일이 생겼는데도 그것을 누리지 못하고 일부러 불안해질 이유를 찾아내기
등 사소해보이는 것도 자해일 수 있음. 일부러 자신에게 고통을 주려고 반복적으로 하면 그것도 자해의 일종임.
