@DealsDhamaka It won't make sense unless the checks are periodically done. Most eateries will get affairs in order before inspection and business will go back to usual after that.
Given how little there is enforcement, it won't be more than just a badge with zero meaning.
@YourbroRishabh Do you have any info if Vivo is planning to restock the X300? Also, will they stop selling accessories for the phone in the coming months? What about software support and after sale service? I have so many questions for Vivo and Oppp.
@vivekraju93 Hi. Do they have a digital catalogue or a central database for all the books in stock/available to borrow or a centralised title tracking hub?

@varunkrish Felt the same. However, I can understand. They had to remove most of the space science element to make it for the mass. Andy Weir is an excellent author and his writing has that curiosity flair. Hard to replicate the same in cinema.
After much reflection, and after it became clear to me that some UN seniors are serving a powerful lobby and not the UN, I have decided to suspend all my duties as PVA Main Representative at the UN and from all UN committees/groups of which I am a member.
I cannot in good conscience be part of or witness to what is happening at a time when the UN is preparing for possible nuclear weapon use.
It has been an honor cooperating with the UN for nearly 12 years under different Secretaries-General and Human Rights Council Presidents, leading PVA delegation.
May God bless this world.
Every Tom, Dick and Harry on YouTube makes 10-15 videos a year about Flipkart's issues.
But absolutely nobody seems to have the spine to make a single video about Amazon's growing number of issues, be it customer care quality or delivery problems.
I called out this exact same delivery issue two years ago, and it is STILL happening.
Yesterday, I tried to look for IMAX shows of 'Project Hail Mary' (a movie specifically filmed for IMAX) in Bengaluru. Across both District and BookMyShow, all I could find were 2D and 4DX versions. No IMAX anywhere in the city at all. All through weekend! Half-hearted I booked tickets for a 2D show on Sunday.
Later in the evening yesterday, I came to know that there was a sustained clamour by fans all through the day to get IMAX shows for the movie in India. And it finally happened only later in the day, after I booked my uncancellable tickets. And yes, most of the shows are fully booked immediately, so even if I want to forget my earlier booking/amount and try booking for IMAX again, no luck.
Amidst all this comes the pugnacious reaction from the Vice President of IMAX Corporation (India, SE Asia, Korea, Australia and NZ), responding to mild fan frustration (Dev's post + GIF).
There are passionate cinephiles (some traveling across cities like Chandigarh to Delhi) waiting, with excitement high, and then… radio silence or delays on the actual IMAX listings. That's genuinely annoying when you're paying premium for a premium format.
But, instead of a professional, purposeful reply, Preetham goes full defensive mode:
"We cant tell you what happened (as much as you think you have the right to know)" is condescending gatekeeping.
"Stop pretending to be an authority" is dismissing customers as if they're random trolls!
"Don’t think I’m here to address your tantrums!" is straight-up hostile!!
Even if there were legitimate behind-the-scenes issues, senior executives do not talk to paying enthusiasts like that. These are the exact people who make IMAX screenings viable in India... the ones who drive demand, travel, and evangelize the format.
The replies in the thread prove it backfired hard: most are calling it arrogant, unprofessional, a "bad look," or worse. A few fans tried to de-escalate politely ("we were just worried, thanks for making it happen"), and Preetham gave them curt "All good!" or "Got it thanks"... which is all fine, but he doubled down or laughed off the criticism from others. Definitely not a good look for IMAX's customer-facing image.
This is classic "exec on Twitter/X who forgot the audience pays the bills" energy. In entertainment/tech, especially in hyper-passionate markets like Indian cinema audiences, tone matters. You can be firm without being rude. You can protect internal info without sounding like you're doing the fans a favor. Right now it reads like entitlement from the supply side when the demand side is the one shelling out for tickets and hyping the experience.
If I were advising IMAX corporate comms, I'd tell them to get this guy off the front lines or at least coach him on brand voice. The movie will still screen, but this kind of exchange leaves a sour taste that lingers longer than any technical delay.

@getpeid@AndroidAuth It's also strange to sell the Phone (4a) Pro before the official review embargo date. However, I guess that's what is called "business" isn't it?
