Quoting @Curt_Story314-
"See students' identities and culture as assets, not liabilities."
"Education needs to be where students are, not the other way around."

"When we recognize all of that (being culturally relevant), we get to a place where students can THRIVE...Creating a culture of safety, where barriers of policy, practice, and procedures can be replaced with OUTRAGEOUS LOVE." ❤️ That hit my heart. So powerful, @Curt_Story314.
"This is the assurance and validation I want students to find in my classroom." Educators and students are facing a lot right now. Normalizing conversations around mental health could prove mutually beneficial.

Lots asking about having kids home:
1. Daily rhythm. Allow them to create it w/ ur guidance.
2. Expectations. Again, involve them.
3. Physical activity, school work, chores&free time (creativity).
4. They make & clean up lunch & dinner Meal prep.
5. Journal
Empower them.

@PoojaAgarwal Winter break trip to Costa Rica= time to reflect and improve my practice. Ready to start the new year with some new retrieval techniques!
@momoneybeet I was reading through some ideas on your page and saw this. Check out the app "Self Checkout". My kids use it daily to track data on how they are doing emotionally, recognize triggers, and keep a self care list. It's already MLP approved.
