Salvation is not something we earn. It is a gift purchased by Jesus and offered freely to all who believe.
While we cannot earn our salvation, we reveal what it means to us by the way we live. Do we treat it as something common or as the greatest privilege of our lives?
A heart that truly understands the price Jesus paid cannot help but respond with gratitude, devotion, and obedience.

Keep your hands off our gold
“In the rush to hoard stuff for a rainy day, there’s been scant discussion about the future of our existing mineral stockpile; the 80 tonnes of gold the Reserve Bank of Australia has sitting in vaults.
The rapid surge in gold prices means the value of the RBA’s gold has doubled in Australian dollar terms over the past two years and more than tripled over the past seven years.
Which makes it a great time to sell those 80 tonnes of gold for just over $18 billion of cash.
The analogy extends to physical capital; what’s the point of having a gold stockpile if you never sell it?”
•••••••••••••••
The AFR (no doubt acting as a proxy for Treasury) is arguing that Australia should sell its gold.
This is a very dangerous thing to do.
Some time in the future the U.S. dollar will stop being the world’s reserve currency and there will be reset of the monetary system.
It’s highly likely that when this happens the new currency will be backed by gold.
Those countries with the largest gold reserves will in the strongest financial position after reset.
Gold is an appreciating asset, unlike bonds which depreciate due to inflation.
That’s why central banks manipulate the gold price by artificially shorting it via paper contracts on the Comex to prevent individuals from accumulating it.
Let’s not forget the U.S. outlawed the possession of gold in 1932 to prop up the paper markets.
Articles like this remind us that the world’s financial system is on very shaky ground. Western government debt levels are unsustainable and the bond markets are on very shaky ground.
Gold has always been insurance against reckless government spending/borrowing.
Rather than sell our gold, the Australian government should be accumulating it.
Any attempt by central banks to take our gold needs to be stopped stone cold dead.
That includes bringing our gold back home, away from the clutches of the Bank of England.
“Women's Minister Katy Gallagher told The Australian this week that all available evidence showed "the sooner you get a child into early education or care, the better" doubling down on Monday to confirm this extended to children from zero to three.
Labor is at odds with international experts over its stance on infants up to three years old being "better off" in childcare than with family members, while some parents have condemned the argument as "harmful" and “tone deaf".
The criticism follows the government rejecting a proposal for childcare providers to be given more power to terminate staff thought to be posing a risk to those in their care, amid revelations of further abuse against children in the system last month.”

Over the last few decades the major parties have undermined the rights of the individual in every aspect of their lives.
There’s no greater example of this than childcare.
Katy Gallagher is just one of many politicians who ridiculed me for trying to advocate for greater support for parents raising their children at an early age.
The government’s insistence that children are “better off” in institutional settings from birth is a transparent attempt to subvert the family unit in favor of state-managed workforce participation.
By prioritising economic output over the fundamental, bond between a mother and her child, this administration reveals its true goal: the further centralisation of power and the erosion of parental authority.
This is the socialist playbook 101. Get children away from parents so the government can brainwash them to believe in the state over the family.

Stop outsourcing and start training.
Outsourcing and offshoring our jobs is destroying us. We need to train our children with the skills that matter.
I’m at prepoll in Griffith today reflecting on how inefficient it is to run prepoll for two weeks before polling day.
Australia used to be able to run an election on one day. Now it takes 12 days. If that’s not a drop in productivity then I don’t know what is.
The same can be said for the way in which we build things such as Snowy 2.0.
What started off as a $2 billion project is now expected to cost over $40 billion.
This inefficiency is orchestrated by bureaucrats and rent seeking grifters in the private sector who aren’t spending their own money.
They are happy to milk taxpayers for their own profit and the politicians are too weak and incompetent to stop them.
It reinforces why we need to get our children back on the tools via a military apprenticeship scheme as we’ve become too dependent on outsourcing jobs to foreign contractors.
Our national anthem says wealth for toil not wealth for grifting or outsourcing. If we want to get Australia heading in the right direction we have to become more self-reliant by teaching our children in the skills that matter.

Time to put Australia First.
Foreign ownership of agricultural land, residential land, water rights and Infrastructure will be banned by People First.
Our forefathers legacy has been sold down the river by successive Australian governments who have allowed foreigners to buy up our critical assets.
Furthermore, foreigners receive numerous tax breaks that Australians don’t such as Capital Gains Tax exemptions on the sale of water rights.

The debacle called Snowy 2.0 is why https://t.co/Hc5pe1I8Nr has a policy to introduce military apprenticeship scheme.
Australians should not be held to ransom by foreign contractors and grifters in the private sector.
We need to train our own children how to build things efficiently, effectively and with integrity.
Successive Australian governments have destroyed our trade sector so that we are totally vulnerable to exploitation.
We are the only party who has real solutions to the structural economic issues that is crippling Australia.

“The Italian contractor building the budget-plagued Snowy Hydro 2.0 has marked its Australian performance as "fantastic", while hailing the Albanese government for abandoning its confrontational approach with major infrastructure partners.
Italy's Webuild managed to negotiate its multi-billion dollar contract to a cost-plus model where Snowy covers some of its contractor's cost inflation on the massive pumped hydro expansion while paying an agreed profit margin on top.”
And
“Big Government is the ultimate racket. The costs have been hidden, the FOIs denied, the Unions are raking in the cash, and a foreign corporation is soaking in easy money. And in the end, the stored power is likely to be a horrible $200/kWh, making it 6 times the price of brown coal plant power.
There is something in this project for every grifter. The incompetent management delays have added $8b in interest during construction. That will keep the Bankers happy.
There are 3,000 extra workers nobody thought we’d need and they earn $250,000 each on average.
And there is now $12 billion in interconnector high-voltage line costs. Like all “renewable” projects, the fuel is free but the cost to collect and distribute it burns like a magnesium flare.”
Another reason why parents should be able to have greater choice when it comes to childcare.
https://t.co/rzwZyRkFsH is the only party that wants childcare support to go directly to parents, rather than childcare centers that can’t properly vet their employees.
Apart from safety issues, millions of shift workers can’t use institutionalised daycare centres that are only open during business hours.
Workers along with parents need greater choice.

“Federal police are preparing to contact families of suspected child abuse victims, having accused a Sydney childcare worker of 137 offences over 16 years after trawling through millions of files and finding "a parent's worst nightmare".
The man was first charged with eight counts of using a child to make abusive material in July last year. A further 129 charges were laid on Friday at Parramatta Local Court.
He now faces 68 counts of producing child abuse material, 29 counts of filming a private act without consent, 29 counts of using a child under 14 to make child abuse material - 11 of which were aggravated - seven counts of sexually touching a child under 10, three counts of filming of a person's private parts without consent-aggravated and one count of possessing child abuse material collected through a carriage service.”
