Today’s Sim Update:
• Polished frontal icons
• Increased thunderstorm cells to accurately reflect conditions in that area
• Moisture and instability can now be pulled poleward and acts as a fluid
• Strength, duration, and movement of pressure systems is all randomized
In other news, I’ve also incorporated all of the integral meteorological components of the simulator and put it into one large forecasting simulator. Add or remove pressure systems, warm and low fronts, and the like. Still very early & buggy, but so far not too shabby. #wx#WxX
1) Currently I am developing an interactive simulator in which the user can create their own weather environment, and a reflectivity simulation will show what could happen in said environment. Here’s a typical “pulse thunderstorm” environment, complete with outflow. #wx#WxX
3) This is still extremely early in development, and there are still bugs, (like with the hook echo and derecho initiation) but I wanted to see what overall crowd reaction would be. Let me know what yall think!
Here’s a supercell

2) What’s neat is every storm is random. Random strength, random duration, random placement. The sounding box on the left is also interactive, making changing your environment easy. Here is a render of a derecho or bow echo

Beryl's potential landfall has shifted nearly *250 miles up the coast in just 24 hours* according to the latest consensus models (pink). Consequently, it'll spend more time over the warm water of the Gulf of Mexico. Impacts from #Beryl are trending upward for the Houston/Galveston area as it approaches the Texas coast as a projected hurricane. To what degree? We'll know more on Saturday. @WINKNews
