Enthusiastic researcher in Head & Neck Cancer of Unknown Primary. In the intersection between surgery and radiation oncology, on behalf of the DAHANCA group.
I am proud to announce, on behalf of the DAHANCA group, that our national phase IV study on cancer of unknown primary in the head and neck is out! 📣📣
We thoroughly evaluated the current Danish management strategy of this complicated disease.

A pleasure for me to participate in #ECHNO2025 in Amsterdam, gathering experts in head and neck cancer. Thank you for interesting discussions after my talk in the DAHANCA session on TBM by TORS in HNSCCUP. Also, congratulations to @SomiahSiddiq for a brilliant review on the topic
@claire_paters0n Dear Claire. Thank you for the question, which is highly relevant as these patients go through extensive work-up. The present study does not answer that question. Luckily, we adressed that in another study which is soon to be published. I will make a announcement when it's out.
Our national study presenting the largest cohort of patients with head and neck cancer of unknown primary (HNSCCUP) undergoing tongue base mucosectomy after guideline based work-up is now published! Please take a look.

Yesterday was a big! On behalf of the DAHANCA group, I had the great honor to present the results of our point of origin based pattern of failure study on IMRT treated patients with cancer of unknown primary in the head and neck (HNSCC CUP) at ESTRO
@ESTRO_RT@oncaarhus
@aallam_mo @ESTRO_RT@oncaarhus Exactly! And I feel that the more I dig into this area of interest, the more exciting the mystery of the unknown becomes!
@VinPaleri@ESTRO_RT@oncaarhus Yet unpublished, but will be published soon. Data shows that the point of origins of the nodal failures in overall are lying within the high dose areas, i.e. by the bilateral elective neck approach we "hit the target". However, mucosal failures is another story...
Thrilled by Trine Tramm's presentation on hos immunity and tumour microenvironment as a predictor of RT. Trine has excellent communication skills and her research is outstanding!

@oncaarhus@AUHdk Sharing our knowledge, is one of the most important weapons we have in the fight against cancer. ESTRO is the place where researchers meet and equip together. I'm proud to have been a part of this year's most powerful exchange of experiences!
