online shooters like Battlefield and Halo provided a certain unique experience where you can get into a vehicle with someone and it turns out they're the most psychotic person alive
@faithandheresy If the layout wasn't so retarded and it was around half the price they would actually be decent starter homes for lower middle class young people.
Which is what we actually need more of.
We don't need more 3000 sqft mcmansions.
Remember how Lionsgate let me post all of Apocalypse Now? Well next Friday, 6/19, they're letting me hold a premiere for John Hillcoat's adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's The Road! We'll watch it together in the live chat, time is TBD (probably 7est ish).
Halo Studios just announced the next Halo novel by Troy Denning (who also wrote Campaign Evolved’s prequel missions) called Halo: Fireteam Noble. Releasing in 2027.
Description: 2560. The galaxy remains fractured in the devastating wake of Cortana’s rise and the Created menace, while the Banished war machine relentlessly consolidates power across former Covenant space. To help counter these ongoing and emerging threats to humanity, Spartan Jun-A266—the last surviving member of Noble Team—struggles to forge a new generation of warriors on the hidden UNSC base Anvil Station, even as he battles the ghosts of his own past. But when a renowned xenoarcheologist is brazenly abducted by a Banished strike team, Jun is pulled back into active operations alongside both old and new allies for a dangerous rescue mission, leading them all deep into hostile territory. Now Jun must confront the burden of survival and decide what it truly means to carry Noble Team’s legacy into a new era of conflict as this desperate mission may hold dire consequences far beyond a single missing civilian. #Halo
During Reach's early development, I made the original proposal to have George sacrifice himself in orbit and then have the covenant fleet show up, giving the unspoken implication that "You sacrificed your best guy and barely made dent. You can't win this war".
But my original pitch was "You leave Jorge in the Covenant bridge, he locks the door and is defending this room to ensure the ship stays on course, and the player runs back to the hangar and jumps" (all in game), we'd then transition to a first person cinematic while the player was falling.
The story team pushed back with a counter-proposal insisting Jorge get this monologue. I didn't agree at first so we debate/argued/etc. That happened a lot. In the end, it was the right choice (I was wrong), and it made the moment so much better.
That was the cool thing about old school Bungie. All the best moments were an amalgamation of proposals and counter-proposals, to ultimately arrive at the best version of the idea.
@MoistBreezus@_daisyluv There's the one person in the back literally always working full time on the next batch of chicken we keep that person gainfully employed.
I just want to make it clear: Elijah took a ghetto mudshark, known for fucking Blacks, and said, “Go to this trial and be based.”
Used the clip of her saying the N-word to blow her up and get attention for himself, repeating some tired bullshit
THEN START A $50K FUNDRAISER FOR HER
Austin Metcalf fucking died, and you can’t help but think, “How can I monetize this?”
You sent some mud shark with a rap sheet to go instigate and pretend she’s a “totally normal” victim, then run a fundraiser for her. Not for the family of the DEAD KID. No, for the girl who you sent there to do exactly that
Woe is me, I sent my dumb bitch to say the n-word, now people are mad at her, give money!
Zero respect for Austin, his family. For anything
It’s so morbidly despicable. You can’t succeed otherwise, so you do this shit. You don’t give a damn about the dead kids we lose. It’s a game to you for self-indulgence
It’s so repulsive. One last GriftTV episode instead of raising your kids. What do your children think when they see their dad trying to scam people and trying to fuck these 20-year-old sluts?
Setting them up to be vulnerable and get abused just like you. Sick freak. I ignored this because you’re a fucking lunatic, but this is beyond the pale
What you’ve done to so many people is evil. I pray that God answers our prayers and you get what you deserve for the evil you’ve brought into the lives of innocent people and into the life of your family
Utterly reprehensible. It wasn’t enough to spit on and use your own family, you had to do it to someone else’s. Never once stopping, “How can I be a better father?” Instead, asking, “How can I use my actions to garner sympathy? How can hurting my children benefit me?”
When people say “the movement.”
What fucking movement? This is the reason I got into politics: to stop wickedness like this in the world.
“Hey boss, look at all these people logging in to celebrate the fact that our game is sunsetting! It’s like 500% more than what we usually have!”
“Damn Johnson, you’re right! Let’s invest $300 Million into a sequel!”
This is what the Destiny community thinks is about to happen lol
He was pretty screwed from the start, but his family has made some staggeringly stupid financial decisions so they're about to really struggle for it too.
Aside from the morals of spending money that you got from murder, the money was never gonna work out cause of these choices
In Dec. One of my longest & best friends passed away. Lived 5 mins away from each other most of our lives in NY. Both moved to Florida & lived 5 minutes away from each other there too. Knew each other for 25+ years but gears (1) made us best friends. Left this after he was buried
