Can never forget, desecration of Darbar Sahib especially Akal Takht Sahib , killing thousands of innocent pilgrims. And not a single PM apologised on behalf of GOI
It was 42 years ago when Harmandir Sahib, the Golden Temple, the most revered place in Sikhism, the foundation of which was laid by Sufi Saint Hazrat Mian Mir Sahib, was attacked by the Indian government due to their dictatorial ideology during Operation Blue Star. Let the world remember and honour thousands of innocent lives lost in the #Sikhgenocide started in 1984 in #India.

🔸While remembering the martyrs of June 1984, we must also honour Late “Dr. Jagjit Singh Chauhan of the Council of Khalistan” and his anonymous companions.
They provided crucial logistical support to “Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale” and his Jatha in the years leading up to 1984. Though often overlooked, their valuable contributions remain an important and inseparable part of our history.
There is no Government or Force in the world that can break the spirit of Khalsa. Political and Military leaders must never forget that a force may achieve tactical objectives, but political problems ultimately demand political solutions. A planned political mis-adventure …
Sikhs around the world remember the brave defense of the Darbar Sahib Complex from an Indian Army invasion in June 1984.
The Battle of Amritsar was one of the key events of the Sikh Genocide that would rage across India under the coordination of the Indian government.
Baaz has published numerous articles on these events, from November 1984 and disappearances of young Sikh men across Punjab to the burning of the Sikh Reference Library and the legacy of Jaswant Singh Khalra.
Labour’s long-promised inquiry into the UK’s role in the 1984 Golden Temple attack in India is now unlikely to proceed, Sky News understands. The inquiry had been repeatedly promised, but sources have told Sky's @amritsingh_mann that concerns about damaging UK-India relations - now strengthened by a major trade deal - are behind the shift.
1984 Genocide remains the darkest years in modern Indian history.June 84 Prime Minister of #India ordered a military assault on the most significant religious place for the #Sikhs, Darbar Sahib in #Amritsar. The attack killed thousands of civilians #NeverForget1984#SikhGenocide
42 years on, the #Sikh community still doesn’t have the answers or #justice for the 1984 attack on the #GoldenTemple complex in #Amritsar that caused so much death and devastation.
The promised independent inquiry is vital to expose the truth around #OperationBluestar.

🚨Beware of this individual: Harman Kapoor (A Known Hindutva Supporter) Just a few weeks ago, he was seen threatening people with a kirpan, and now he is spreading misinformation about Sikhs while posing as a Sikh himself. He regularly calls for bans on the kirpan and appears to use every opportunity to defame Sikhs and spread hostility toward both Sikhs and Muslims.
There are also concerns about his alleged links to Hindutva/RSS circles and BJP supporters. People should carefully examine his claims, background, and motives before accepting his narratives at face value.

🔸JUNE 4, 1984: INDIA’S FULL-SCALE ASSAULT ON SRI HARMANDIR SAHIB
Late at night, Indian commandos entered the temple from one side but the whole battalion was wiped out by Sikh fighters. The entire squad of Indian soldiers was killed in the first attack. More soldiers rushed in but faced fierce resistance. Sikhs used underground paths to fight back bravely. Sri Darbar Sahib was riddled with bullets.

In the spirit of Sarbat Da Bhalla (the welfare of all), we invite people of all faiths and backgrounds to attend, pay their respects, join in prayer, and partake in Langar as we remember Henry, support his family and friends, and stand together in compassion during this difficult time.
