@Glassdoorgamer no, no no. I mean the sell and spin-off. How the article is talking about announcing Senua is supposed to put Ninja Theory in a great place for selling off. I say, it makes it harder.
@thomasmahler "Ship better games than your competition."
That's not it. Just make good games that create their own communities. They don't need to beat Sony or Nintendo. It being a competition is more figurative than literal. Is being third that bad? Nah. Is having -30% returns bad? Heck yea.
@LJsFuckingUp@OrtizYohnny The only redeeming thing about Tango was that they found a buyer that kept them open.
Imagine making a game that everyone praises and claims to have sold well but you still get shutdown.
@LJsFuckingUp@OrtizYohnny Worse is so subjective. I'd say it was more odd than bad.
Lionhead was worse. The Initiative was so obvi, that no one knew what the hell they were doing. A complete waste of time and money
@AshenOne_VI So what you're saying is the Xbox leadership wants to rebuild trust and you decide to trust rumors and that is somehow their fault.
Got it
@KMart1989@LikeToBeBossy No studio had blank checks, kid. The pre-covid ones were all making budget AA titles. ABK all had budgets even though COD's budget was justifably higher than most.
All that crap you spew against the devs is really issues you need to take up with management and their leadership
@LikeToBeBossy I don't understand. If closing studios and layoffs are things you don't support, then why consider buying an Xbox now or anything really? These RUMORED layoffs come after a nearly annual amount of layoffs. Did those layoffs stop mattering and suddenly these new ones matter?
@IsXBOXStillLast OR Sony should assess if Nixxes has the capability and/or desire to make their own games. Instead of blindly firing 85 people because you decide to attach Xbox's issues with Sony
@Wildbergerrrr What popular money making studios have closed left and right?
Just because the gaming industry is popular doesn't mean everyone is acheiving success.
@Welfare_JBP You people realize that a company being spun off another company isn't free, right? The spin off company has to pay for their assests, ips, and various legal rights. Closing a studio gets the more taxcuts than giving away a studio like a child.
