We’re huge fans of the shows mentioned but agree it’s harmful for Liverpool to only be seen in this light on screen. That’s partly why our mission is to empower Scouse and Northern voices and amplify their stories in worlds that swerve from the familiar to the fantastical
Why is every single TV show that gets made about Liverpool these days ago gangs or crime?
Some of these are great; Tony Schumacher’s The Responder got rave reviews recently, as did Jimmy McGovern’s Time.
