what about Nintales? would you consider Alolan Nintales to be a buff to Kantonian Nintales?

@Whisper35218370 I guess my point is just that I think it's a little weird to say that a move like ceaseless edge is a buff to samurott when unovan samurott can't even learn it

If you want to use Poliwrath, Politoad existing doesn't affect you at all, but it does give Poliwhirl more options.

That said people usually don't consider prevos when talking about balance outside of eviolite sets (which still get buffed by having an evolution)

@pokemon_psts Pokemon learning weird moves like this makes a ton of sense once you realize it's just pokemon using magic like in any other RPG

They just didn't want the other Oricorio forms also getting electric moves so it's stuck with revelation dance (which IS kinda lame tbf)

@Whisper35218370 @Peko_girlboss For me, it counts as a buff if you can change the base form you already have into it, if you had a zard in gen 5 you could put it into gen 6 and mega evolve it, so thats a buff, same with new evos, but if you had a linoone in gen 7, it can't ever be obstagoon, so its not a buff

@Whisper35218370 @Peko_girlboss I'm not arguing if megas or regional forms are better buffs, I'm arguing that regional forms shouldn't be considered buffs at all. Saying a regional form buffed the base form is like saying Ken getting into smash bros buffed Ryu

@CommunistAugust When I first got into fire emblem a few years ago I wanted to play heroes but wanted to wait till I played the whole series so I'd recognize the characters, now I'm realizing by the time I get through all the games, heroes is either gonna be EOS or way too power creeped to enjoy
