YOU FUCKING DRONGO WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?
@RadioActvTwinky @BioticGod11 @Neverkill16 @PressStartKofi Dude, shut the fuck up already. Your skull cavity is nothing but brain soup. How are you even typing?

Jesus.
Fucking.
CHRIST.
@RadioActvTwinky @BioticGod11 @Neverkill16 @PressStartKofi Oh, so you think those YouTubers all edited the game footage to make it seem like there are pop-ins?
@RadioActvTwinky @BioticGod11 @Neverkill16 @PressStartKofi 3. Why are you so dense. What on god's green Earth is your actual problem.
NO IT'S NOT THE SAME TECH NO IT'S NOT THE SAME TECH NO IT'S NOT THE SAME TECH
but
IT ACCOMPLISHES THE SAME THING IT ACCOMPLISHES THE SAME THING IT ACCOMPLISHES THE SAME THING
@RadioActvTwinky @BioticGod11 @Neverkill16 @PressStartKofi I've seen gameplay on YouTube. I know it's true because it's literally there.
The hardware was not designed for that. It was designed for loading fast. Just because it allows you to swap out levels without using a method for smoother transitions doesn't mean you should.
@RadioActvTwinky @BioticGod11 @Neverkill16 @PressStartKofi Which you denied and accused me of "thinking to know better" but now you're stating being a tech demo is the entire point of the game. Kay
@RadioActvTwinky @BioticGod11 @Neverkill16 @PressStartKofi And I mean, I was the one saying that R&C's brute force method is not ideal due to the artifacts it causes or even the freezes some people report and that they probably did it that way to hype the SSD.
@RadioActvTwinky @BioticGod11 @Neverkill16 @PressStartKofi This has nothing to do with this discussion. May I help you get back on track? It was about how R&C is programmed to change its visuals drastically and instantly within the same level, and how UE5 is capable of doing the same via a different method.
@RadioActvTwinky @BioticGod11 @Neverkill16 @PressStartKofi Hm, looks like I would have to repeat myself again, but I'll let you figure that out yourself.
The concept of world levels you say? Interesting, tell me more. Man, world levels, that sounds fancy.
@RadioActvTwinky @BioticGod11 @Neverkill16 @PressStartKofi The hardware wasn't designed to do anything specifically other than load stuff fast. Just because you can create R&C the way it was doesn't mean there isn't a better way to do it, and either way it's an imperfect method due to the visual artifacts.
@RadioActvTwinky @BioticGod11 @Neverkill16 @PressStartKofi I don't think I know better, but if you think they didn't do this to show off and create hype and marketing for the I/O/SSD you're really misguided. It's literally a Sony studio.
Especially since it's a linear game, none of what you see requires the brute force loading.
@RadioActvTwinky @BioticGod11 @Neverkill16 @PressStartKofi I didn't play it, but you can see this in videos, so yeah.
The UE5 method so does work in linear design. In fact, R&C is not even being efficient, since it's so linear they would have been better off loading everything as one map so you don't have pop-ins and short stutters.
@RadioActvTwinky @BioticGod11 @Neverkill16 @PressStartKofi And I need to repeat myself again? Yes, it's not the same in tech, but it's the same in gameplay. It's two different methods to achieve the same.
And frankly, the UE5 method is probably better. The brute force "only load once through rift" in R&C actually causes awful pop-in.
@RadioActvTwinky @BioticGod11 @Neverkill16 @PressStartKofi Oh, it's not even tomorrow and I already have to tell you again that it's not the same tech but can be used to switch levels instantly, ergo accomplishes the same in terms of gameplay as R&C.
This is the longest repetition game I've ever made myself suffer through. Dang.
@RadioActvTwinky @BioticGod11 @Neverkill16 @PressStartKofi Has nothing to do with our discussion. What is wrong with your reading comprehension? I am serious, how can someone misunderstand to such an extent? You really need to work on that or you're gonna have issues your entire life as understanding simple sentences is kinda important.
@RadioActvTwinky @BioticGod11 @Neverkill16 @PressStartKofi Good eff'n lord, I've told you several times it's not the same tech but that it accomplishes the same thing that R&C does for gameplay. Using this R&C could run the same on any other platform.
Will I have to tell you this again tomorrow? And then the next day? And the next?
