My buddie #Puddle 🐾 heart of a wookiee, spirit of a child 💕
I am saddened to hear about the death of a conservation hero of mine - Tony Soper aged 95.
He inspired me as a child with his smooth knowledgeable style. He was a wonderful man.
Rest in nature Tony Soper ❤️
This picture has a lot more behind. The birds started a colony over night. This sand was meant to be shipped elsewhere, as soon as @bristolport realised about the birds asked us for confirmation. Shipping stopped and these birds will have somewhere nest the breeding season ! 😍🥰
Can you tell the difference between swifts, swallows, house martins and sand martins?

@WriterHannahBT@ZacGoldsmith@SharonStevenage Saw 8 this morning, which is 8 more than last year! I'm so happy but when I was a child there were so many, you couldn't count them ...
George, the brave Jack Russell Terrier who saved five children from a vicious attack by two pit bulls in Manaia, New Zealand.
Despite being much smaller than the attacking dogs, George courageously defended the children, barking and rushing at the pit bulls to protect them. He was so severely mauled in the fight that a veterinarian had to put him down due to the extent of his injuries.
George's bravery didn't go unnoticed. The New Zealand Society for the Protection of Animals awarded him a bravery medal, and he was also awarded the PDSA Gold Medal by the People’s Dispensary for Sick Animals.
This medal is considered the animal equivalent of the George Cross, a testament to George's extraordinary act of bravery.
They also erected this monument.
The highlight of my walk today - a mouse darts out, followed by a little one. The baby loses its nerve and goes back into the undergrowth. Mum eventually goes back and looks before crossing with … 😻 Judging by the black stripe on its back it’s a Striped Field Mouse! #Szczecin
🚨 Emergency Callout Success! 🚑
Last night, we responded to another callout from the @Ldn_Ambulance for a patient who was unconscious and had a dog with them.
We immediately made our way to central London to the A&E department, where a lovely paramedic was looking after the confused dog until we arrived.
This little beauty is now safe in our care, and we have left all our details with A&E so that when the patient comes to, they will know that their dog is safe and how to contact us.
Supporting our community during urgent medical situations can be distressing, especially when a beloved dog is involved.
By joining forces with the London Ambulance Service, we help ease the stress and reassure both the dog and their owner that they will be safely reunited.

Welcome to our veterinary clinic. All our treatments are given freely to the animals and their owners. Because for these people, living in a war zone in Syria, there would be no treatments at all without us.
Hernias repaired, Caesarean section for a cat, wounds treated, life prolonging treatments given, wounds stitched, spaying and neutering, blood tests, xrays, bones reset, delicate and skilled surgeries - and this week a very tiny kitten badly bitten by a dog.
This just a little collage of some cases this week we have really a lot of animals in need of.
We are many friends here. Can you imagine what we could do, if every member donated 1 or 2 euros each month?
Instead we are still €2000 away from closing our monthly fundraisers.
If you enjoy our posts, if you believe we are making a difference to animal welfare in NWSyria, if you don't donate to us, please will you consider doing so?
We are really at our witts end.
Thank you for reading.

The story of Tom Brown, the retired engineer that became 'apple hunter', rescuing over 1,000 'lost' varieties in the last 25 years
Retired chemical engineer, he began his quest to find and preserve lost apple varieties around more than 25 years ago.
The man who owns an apple orchard called Heritage Apples in Clemmons, North Carolina, USA has re-discovered over 1000 rare varieties of apples.
His Heritage Apples showcase at least 600 of them. He has been working so that the heirloom apples of Appalachia in the Eastern United States do not disappear with time.
Popularly known as the Apple-Hunter, Tom grows around 60 varieties of apples each year on his farm and sells around 1000 trees. To encourage more preservation, Brown offers to discounts on the purchase of rarer heritage varieties. Trees from Georgia, Virginia, North Carolina and a few other places have found their forever homes in his orchard.
